| Franchise mode players “No” to extension 80% of the time Posted: 26 Oct 2019 08:18 AM PDT Most of my players in franchise modes I play seem to never want to re-sign; especially in the later years. I end up having to let them go into free agency then overpaying them. It's the year 2029.... I'm the Detroit Red Wings.... In this case, Filip Hronek won his first cup with me 4 years ago and is fresh off a Stanley Cup Finals defeat to the red hot Colorado Avalanche. He is saying "no" to an extension, which I find unrealistic for the real life NHL. He's playing Top 2 D minutes on a stacked roster and he wants out or $12 Million? I had to trade Tyler Bertuzzi's rights at the draft for a 2nd rounder because he didn't want to re-sign either. I could only sign one anyways with my cap situation, but $12 Million is ridiculous for an 87 overall, 31 year old! @EA fix the player wanting an extension system. I find it frustrating that these players think they're in the NBA, not NHL. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 26 Oct 2019 11:02 AM PDT I pretty much only play single player. Franchise mode, playoff mode, bap ect. Does anyone have any tips on how to get my AI in better positions for passes? They always just seem like they're skating into the other team or tied up with a d-man. Sometimes they just sit back on the rush and let me go 1v4. I've changed my sliders to a guide I found online which has made the game play more like real hockey but I can't get over how it seems my only option is to carry the puck in by myself and try and get a shot off before I'm checked by the defense. I mean sometimes they're in good position but for the most part not often. Also why don't they skate for the puck half the time? They just sit there and watch it slide past them. Any way I can change this? Edit: I should add I'm playing on all-star. But with the sliders changed I don't feel like I'm getting absolutely wrecked by laser passing and amazing position by the enemy. It feels pretty well rounded if, I just need my team to be open more [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 26 Oct 2019 10:32 AM PDT Ever since the switch to Xbox One/PS4, during any online there are the ping spikes. Does anyone else experience these? And afterwards your player is delayed for about 1 minute real time. I do not have this issue in any other game; it is strictly in NHL games. I have a wired connection as well and average ping is 7-10. Can we please get this issue to EA and hear an explanation to this? It has been 5 years of radio silence on this issue. [link] [comments] |

[Franchise] Posted: 25 Oct 2019 01:57 PM PDT Whenever I play a Franchise mode, my NHL team usually does well while my AHL team absolutely goes to shite. I'm not an expert GM, but I always felt I was doing things right. I usually give contracts to anyone over 60ish overall. My AHL team always ends up with a losing record, about 2/3 of games are losses. How can I stop this from happening? Do I need to sign all my prospects? Should I just sign some free agents to bump up the team overall? [link] [comments] |
