    Can someone post a picture of what the new True helmet looks like in game? I'm a equipment nerd and have been waiting for this to get added in so I can deck my BaP out in True gear.

    Couple of noob questions: Does it make much difference to have a great goalie in this game? And is there an online list of full rosters with ratings anywhere?

    I haven't played an NHL game in a few years and I got coerced into joining a friend's league and drafting a team. So I am wondering of it would be advantageous to pick Carey Price since I have 5th pick and the top few forwards are gone already. Or would a goalie with an 88 or 89 rating vs Price's 91 rating not make much difference?

    Also wondering if there is a database of rosters and ratings anywhere besides the top 50 listed on EA's website?

    In the game the dude says it twice differently.

    What is his name?

    Once I even clipped it, and he said both pronunciations within a ten second time

    NHL 20 Player Rating Update

    This is the first NHL game I have bought in a while and I was wondering when EA usually releases player rating updates (for the 2nd half of the season) / if they do release a 2nd round of updates.

    It is driving me nuts that Marino is a 76 / Jarry is a 79

    I got taken out after the 1st so I decided to watch the last two periods.

    I scored two goals, and an assist. We were up 3-0 but because of a last second fight in the first I ended up sitting due to injury.

    The final score was 12-4, us losing. The great Bob gave up 9 goals. Including two power play goals, three short handed goals as well. For some reason I also got an F in defense even though I was already taken out in the first period when I had a B in defense so thanks for that Bob.

    The last seven games combined we given up 13 goals we've gave up 12 in this game alone yikes.

    Online VS ... can you call Ai for a deflection ?

    I try and use my point shots a lot with My D men . I can hold on and open up lanes , but my 3 forwards kinda stay on the outside of the slot most of the time . In NHL 19, it seemed you could do a L1 combo with another button/ stick ( forgot now 🤷🏻‍♂️) and they kinda went for it. Is there something this season I can try ?

    The unrealism in logic hurts especially when it could change the game.

    So I lost to the ducks and they played great, but some things that occurred in this game I just don't think would ever really happen in real life. It's a 3 on 1 I pass it to Strahman (panthers defender) he takes the shot right by the net instead of passing it to Sasha who was wide ass open and it would be a walk in goal.

    Then we were on the power play I had somebody open to my left and it would not let me pass it at all I was hitting button and my guy just held onto it until I was eventually hit by the goalie.

    Also why is it every time I play a full game there's 6 to 9 Power Plays? I think 3 to 5 is a better average for a realistic statistic.

    I know I'm probably just complaining but stuff like this is kind of annoying. I also think this can be easily fixed with just better computer AI.

    Will I gain no experience from simulated games? It seems like the only way to really make out your player is to play every single game, which feels like a lot. Any additional tips for the mode?

    Worst Franchise player ever? Got him 4th overall, after a 64 Top 4D, 77 Elite C and 76 Elite D. Never had a Franchise player going anything other than 1st overall and never had one with a ranking below an 80.

    Early NHL 21 Wishlist

    I know it's a little early, but I was as happy with NHL 20 as I was disappointed that it was missing some of my favorite features from earlier games. I was really impressed with the defensive AI but that's about it. Here's my wishlist for the next game:

    1 - Entrance cutscenes: After NHL 14, I have been rolling my eyes at the beginning of every single game. I am so annoyed that they took out team entrance cutscenes in the first place and I was even more annoyed that it didn't come back after this year when they said they were ditching the NBC format. I loved how it would show the whole team coming on the ice, be it through an elaborate prop like the Sharks or just a run down the tunnel like most other teams.

    2 - Customizable soundtracks: This one is especially important for NHL20. This soundtrack was horrendous IMO (excluding Sibling Rivalry and I Just Wanna Shine, but that's just me), 19 only really had All Roads Lead Home, and 18 was the last really good one. I would love to put in our own music like on last gen consoles, but I would at least take Madden 20-like individual song removal.

    3 - Rare events in-game: I loved when the glass would break out of no where in NHL 14. That's about it.

    4 - Offseason team changes in Franchise Mode: I left a few big mistakes in the Details section of team customization in Franchise Mode and I wish I could go back to that page and make changes in the offseason.

    5 - Real life goal songs: I know another poster said the same thing recently but I would love if they would actually invest a little money in the rights of real goal songs so they could bring back songs like Chelsea Dagger and Kernkraft 400.

    Thanks for reading my little rant, would love to hear others' wishlists.

    Lack of Top Players sharing their winning ways

    Since I'm only able to play at most 5-10 hours a week and rarely at the same times due to work/life/wife I am constantly being matched with other players who are CR <500 on my team and I'm between 550-650.

    I don't have a posse of friends to meld with so I usually play Defense because if I don't no one else will in drop ins.

    Anyone want to tutor a 35 year old grown ass man? The upside is I have Venmo/PayPal and I'm not afraid to use it.

    Would like to sharpen by defensive prowess and puck handling to create space for passes. I already know how/where to score.

    Since there are very few twitch/YouTube top players sharing EASHL I've pretty much exhausted what I've been able to find.
