Posted: 06 Mar 2020 07:35 AM PST Why, why on earth did they take out the hitting after whistles?? Man I would die laughing every whistle. Still say they should have open mics in front of the net if you're in game chat. Like a Call of Duty search game, where the mics open after a round. [link] [comments] |
It’s way too easy to rebuild a team in franchise mode, and here’s why. Posted: 06 Mar 2020 10:01 AM PST I like to play realistically, meaning I won't trade for the 1st overall every year, but I still find it ridiculously easy to rebuild a team. Not every player in the top 5 needs to be an 80+ovr. It's simply unrealistic and I find it true for most EA draft years. I'd like to see 1 out of those 5 players be busts every year, and you wouldn't be able to tell who the busts are while drafting. I'd also like to see more medium top6F/top6D players hit their ceiling. They almost never even crack 78 overall, and that's including the ones drafted later in the 1st round. I also want to see more steals in later rounds; it seems like they toned it down drastically this year. There's some drafts where no players outside the top 10 will even crack 80ovr. In real life you can obviously see there's plenty of NHL regulars found in later rounds and I'd like to see this in franchise. To tie all those concepts up, I'm proposing this: I'd like to have prospect potential re-evaluated at the end of each season to reflect how the player has been doing. This makes it much harder and more realistic to draft; your top 5 pick who's a medium elite might not become an elite player while that defenseman you draft with medium top6D potential in the 3rd round might become your cornerstone defenseman for a decade. This would work by updating the potential at the end of each season. Let's say your 35th overall medium top6F pick has 118 points in the OHL in his D+1 year, he deserves a bump to high top6F or medium elite. Also, if your 2nd overall player has a disappointing (or even average) D+1 and D+2 year, he would get nerfed and become an average prospect. This would make it so much more of a mystery at the draft since any player is susceptible and very likely to have changes to his potential. Your top 10 pick could be a bust, it gives your 2nd and 3rd rounders a chance to become elite, and you'll find many NHL regulars in rounds 2-7. The best part is you wouldn't even know on draft day. You would need skill (and definitely luck) to get out of a rebuild quickly, a thing that mirrors real life rebuilds. [link] [comments] |

Turning on the Conversation System? Posted: 05 Mar 2020 09:27 PM PST Hey team, I'm having a hard time finding where to turn on the conversation system. Haven't used it before and would like to try it. I'm playing on a PS4. Not sure where I went wrong. Tips? TYIA [link] [comments] |

Posted: 05 Mar 2020 04:49 PM PST Has anyone had any players from "rest of the world" I've gone 5/6 years into a franchise and haven't seen one. I had a guy from north Korea is nhl 18 once [link] [comments] |
Any way to switch the user taking faceoffs in online multiplayer? Posted: 05 Mar 2020 02:50 PM PST I play online with a friend (same team) and we can't figure out how to determine which one of us takes faceoffs. Some games it is me and some him regardless of who the "captain" is. Is there any way to set this pre-game? [link] [comments] |
