What is the Victory Hockey League? The Victory Hockey League (VHL) is an online, browser-based hockey simulation forum. After signing up on the forum, creating and customizing your player is simple - you have almost total control over the type of player you want to have, and you will go through the entire career process, complete with drafts, a minor league, waivers, free agency, trades, and more. To progress and grow your player, you can do a variety of things each week to earn points, including writing short articles, doing graphics, recording podcasts, or even creating short videos. There are lots of options to accommodate every user regardless of how much time you choose to invest in your player. How is the VHL different from other sim leagues? The Victory Hockey League is far different from most basic sim leagues with the fact that not only do we use the Simon T Hockey Simulator (STHS) instead of the EA NHL games, we have an android companion app, a fully functional portal for player and team management, and we are **ABSOLUTELY FREE**. The VHL is a non-profit, meaning we are run collectively by all members of the community and delegate different positions to members active on our site that want to make a difference. How does the VHL operate? All GMs, players, and even league commissioners are real people who you can communicate with. We pride ourselves in our community engagement and the way real people can simulate a real, authentic hockey experience online. By showing engagement and willingness to make a difference in growing the league, you can quickly become a General Manager and begin making the decisions for your VHL or VHLM franchise. We have various opportunities for new members to get their feet wet in the team management side of the VHL whether it be a traditional GM job, or a position managing a World Cup or World Junior's team. Really dig the Alumni rosters, playing with some HOFers, but some of those greats are MIA. Where's Beezer in Florida? No Potvin for the Leafs? Hasek's nowhere to be found. | Posted: 20 May 2020 09:51 AM PDT Hello folks, I'm from Ireland so Ice Hockey doesn't exactly have a huge following here but I've always liked what I've seen. I remember when I got the original Xbox I had one of the early NHL games (I'd imagine NHL 2002 or 2003 maybe) and that's the last NHL game I ever had. I got NBA 2K20 recently and it was okay, if not a bit over complicated, however I thought I'd get an NHL game as I always liked Ice Hockey most out of the three big games across the pond in US and Canada. Basically I'm wondering which one I should get.. if at all. Would they be super complicated and difficult to learn/understand for someone who doesn't know much about Ice Hockey? Or are the pretty easy to play? I'd like a game that ain't too complex, one I can get the hang of pretty fast.. maybe that rules NHL games out off the bat? Also, which one of the recent NHL games is the best one to get? I can get everything from 2015-ish up to 2020. Are there any of those particular standout good ones? Or are they all generally the same with minor updates? I was thinking I'd just go wth the most recent one, 2020, but then I thought I'd probably be best asking here incase it's a step down from previous years or anything. I'm playing as the rangers and I'm matched up with this guy on PS4 whose using the islanders and always uses them (I checked his games). So I start off the game with a goal and we keep going back and forth. Third period rolls around and I go off and light the lamp three times. All of asudden I'm disconnected from the servers. Seriously this guy wasn't skipping replays every goal he scored was cheese and then the icing on the cake he disconnects me. So I finally get back on the servers and take a look at his history and every game he looses more than one goal he somehow gets a dnf win. So I guess if your not winning than no one wins way to cheat bud I definitely reported you. [link] [comments] |
