    'm a 70 overall goalie in PRESEASON, after losing my first matchup, our coach who is clearly the same age as me, says well you're not gonna make the team unless you either win the game or get a shut out. I'm willing to bet shutouts are very hard in real life, let alone a game, and guys who are goalie experts, I'm not good at it but I wanted a challenge to give myself ya know? Out of my comfort zone and now I get -25 for not keeping my promise despite us losing just 2-1, despite me having a 93% save percentage on 29 shots. However I allowed a goal, and my offense couldn't score.

    Have I mentioned I AM JUST A GOSH DARN EIGHTEEN YEAR OLD ROOKIE. This game treats you like you are the goaltender of Tampa Bay or some shit. Watch out Spencer Knight, the Panthers are gonna jump you and throw you in the lake if you don't have 85 saves and record back to back to back shutouts.

    Difficulty Cliff

    I just finished a season and on Pro and won the cup easily. Switched to all star and have been blown up! Like 10-3 against a worse rated team. I feel like I have no goalie at all and am called for penalties constantly. Any tips on adjusting?

    Excellent/Reliable players and trade targets

    I'm doing some season mode and franchise mode experiments to find players that simulate well (REALLY need this) and plays that play well (not a big deal, just convenient)

    What are some players that you can think of that are REALLY good or frequently do the following?

    Shoots, Passes, Create takeaways (High takeaway to giveaway ratio, Excellent defensive stats

    Also, what players are excellent regular season guys and what guys are excellent playoff performers?

    Final question - players that player really well Together on certain lines (1st,2nd,etc) even power play or penalty kill (those would definitely be appreciated)!

    Myself and quite a few folks I personally know have had an issue with breaking controllers from this game...primarily from the constant stick pressure and the in and out clicking of the thumb sticks for speed and other player movements. I've read plenty of threads and talked to others in my online league having had similar issues.

    Not saying everyone has this issue, but I was going through 2-3 controllers a year.

    I picked up the Elite Xbox controller with the programmable paddles underneath. First, it's a more solidly built controller, but the paddles underneath allowed me to remap my thumb stick clicks to the paddles, so instead of pressing down on the thumb stick and applying even more pressure to the stick, I just lightly hold one of my paddles underneath.

    I've had my Elite for nearly three years and never replaced now. Plus, it makes controlling my player so much easier...I can slide in and out of hip checks (I play defense) that I use hip checks to block shots rather than the trip causing shot block animation.

    Anyways, just my experience with controllers and this game...hope it helps someone.

    Line Combinations & Players I should target

    What are sure fire players that always do well? This ESPECIALLY is needed for simming. What players always work well together as linemates? What players should I target that would make my defense really good (again especially simming) to help my goaltending out? Also, what are the best goalies to go after or solid goalies so my goaltending isn't terrible? What players should I absolutely stay away from, regardless of position? This is for Franchise Mode or even season mode.

    You guys think they'll ever make it possible for our BAP to be sent to the AHL? I don't want to simulate because I'm not good enough to play on an NHL roster.
