    Cliche minor-things-rant incoming. I'm self-aware, I know it's pedantic.

    The Custom Color picker doesn't allow you to use all possible colors. This baffles me why it would be designed this way.

    The triangle they use doesn't extend far enough down. So basically, unless you use the pure color by going all the way to the right in the color picker triangle (which gives you no options for brightness), your color will always be a little washed out; not as intense.

    Case in point... try to find the Arizona Coyotes color red on your own inside that triangle. Or Colorado's maroon.

    You literally cannot do it.

    Now, I'm actually a graphic designer as a part-time gig. So I'm already irritated that I have to stick to templates for jerseys and logos. Why not just let me enter the hex-decimal code for the color I want? Why not let me import logos? Other games let you.

    But this color picker... it's maddening!

    Why was it made this way? Who was like "oh, you can't get a pure color. Perfect?"

    What makes it even worse is for NHL 19 and 20 I guess, they added a separate menu for Color Swatches? Like, after a few years, someone at EA noticed this dumb triangle thing was broken, and rather than fix it... just tacked on a completely new menu system? Didn't even integrate it into the existing menu system. Now they force you to go to a new menu system. So that then you can choose from 80 "standard colors." In my mind, this must have been to make up for the fact that you can't access these standard colors in their dumb triangle thing.

    Like... why is this this way? At all? From the ground up this whole system of choosing colors has been broken. With the easiest of fixes... I'm POSITIVE the game stores these colors as hexdecimal or RGB or CMYK. So why not give me the option to type in those values? You can even keep your dumb broken triangle. I'll look up the code on my own. Just give me an option to input numbers!?

    Okay okay. Sorry for that rant. I've just been putting up with this for like 4 years, and it makes no sense to me.

    That things like crazy deflections and own goals and stuff like that don't happen. That the game lacks the unpredictability inherently involved with ten guys smacking a rubber disk around a giant sheet of ice.

    Well, the game decided to give me the middle finger last night in the way of a 5-4 loss to Toronto in a game which featured: me outshooting the Leafs 52-20, their Goalie being the third star despite giving up four goals as his save % was something like .925, my defender attempting to pass the puck cross ice in our own zone and instead putting the puck directly into our net, me leading the game 4-2 with less than 10:00 to play in the 3rd Period, and the GWG being a short-handed goal with less than 2:00 remaining.

    I'm sorry I complained and I'm upset I lost, but holy shit it was one of the most fun games I've ever played. Felt like playoff hockey at the end of November.

    Online Versus ping much worse than EASHL ping

    Hey everyone,

    Has anyone else noticed that their ping in Online Versus matches is significantly and consistently worse than playing other game modes such as EASHL?

    I have great internet, I'm hardwired, I've done every little tip out there to improve connection and I never have issues in EASHL - I'm typically at 20-30ms and never experience packet loss. However in Online Versus, despite the "Good" connection shown in the lobby, I get stuck with inconsistent connections ranging from 85-130ms.

    Does anyone know why this would be? Are the servers setup/used differently?

    Anything helps... thanks!

    Just purchased NHL20...

    In the sale EA is advertising in NHL19 they claimed NHL20 was on sale and also came with 4 packs in HUT. I caved and bought NHL20 through that link, and i don't have the 4 packs they claimed nor do i have any of the loyalty rewards.

    I have restarted both the game and my PS4 numerous times, and have been playing HUT for over an hour now. What gives?

    Never been that great just play franchise and quick mode, popped into 18 after a year or so of not playing and was pretty proud of this wide open pass and goal off of a rebound.

    [Franchise] NHL20 - Advice Wanted

    I have not played an NHL game since probably 2012 (maybe even earlier), but on the heels of the Blues (I'm a fan) winning the cup, I decided to pick up 20. I'm not big with online modes, so I mostly play single player franchise mode, which leads me to this post with some thoughts and hopefully steal some advice.

    I've currently started my 4th season where I play 1 and sim 2 (mostly), on Pro difficulty with minor slider changes and trades on "easy".

    Rookies
    I just ran into an issue where the player I draft in year 1 just finished his entry level contract. He was Elite potential, had some great seasons, and wanted to go from his 925k per year to asking for 10.725M - WOW. Any ideas on how to keep these young stars for reasonable rates? GEEZ man. One idea I had, and hopefully someone can give me some counterpoints or corrections if its possible, is to draft someone and leave them in AHL for 2 of 3 years of contract, and then extend them for 8 years hopefully getting a reasonable rate and promote to NHL where I know they should have been since year 1 or 2. Will that even work, or since they were not in NHL it will not let me give them a long term 1 way extension?

    Chemistry
    Ummm, do I have any influence or control over this? Year 1 it wasn't an owner goal, but in years 2 - 4, the owner wants me to increase team morale like 5 points (70 to 75 I think). I went out and got 3 veterans with leadership in hopes that would help, but nothing seems to matter, and the majority of players sit at "neutral", with only 1 or 2 ever reaching "presence".

    Coaches
    I chose to make my team small market, and coaches either will not sign because of my market, or they don't like my lineup (news flash, my lineup is solid!). They only way to get some of these guys is to throw way too much money at them, which is just silly. This is more of a rant than anything, but also, it seems my budget is so slim for hiring new ones, or the XP I've gained on my current coach is better than getting a new one with a more fitting coach style - any advice here? Can I wait until the season starts to fire a coach to sign one over my current budget? I run into the issue of some times not having enough money to sign.

    Advertising
    Any magic formula to use here? I think I'm doing 55% general, 40% game day, 5% season tickets. Then during season ticket drives, I run it up to like 80% or something - I'm usually selling roughly 94% of season tickets.

    Goalies
    WTF! It's like my goalie gives up every rebound right to the other team for them to just put it in at a weird side angle. At first I thought, maybe it's because all I have is Markstrom, so I went out to get Samsanov, and damn, that kid let's in every slapshot it feels like, and has no puck control. Yet on the other end, I feel like my cross passes are intercepted every time, making my one timers non-existent, but on my side, right through 2 defenders and Sams doesn't get to the other side of the crease with any urgency. Is this just the state of goalies?

    Trades
    Something feels way off about this, I never seem to get a "fair" deal. In my 3rd season, I attempted to trade up to the first overall offering up FOUR of the 1st round picks I managed to acquire for that year - nope, not good enough WHAT?! When I traded for Samsanov, he was in the AHL and highlighted in red, so they were okay giving him away, yet I felt I had to overpay for him. Any tricks to get picks off the other team or whatever?

    That's about all for now, welcoming any suggestions or advice on managing my franchise. Thanks!

    Is switching/merging rosters broken for everyone else or am I missing something?

    I have a roster from 10/16 with a number of created teams and players. However, it's using the player list from 10/01. I know in 19 you could merge the created roster with a new update (in this case, 10/10 update), but every time I try it shows none of my created teams, though the roster updates are there.

    Worse yet, when I switch back to the 10/16 roster (confirmed to have the created teams) the Creation Zone still says everything is gone. Only after closing and reloading the game do my created teams/player come back. I've tried to use this "remedy" on the merged roster but it doesn't work.

    Is this something that others have experienced? I'm convinced I need to submit a bug report but I know deep down it won't do any good, but some confirmation I'm not losing my mind would be nice.

    Operations budget glitch in NHL 19?

    I have almost 1.5m in funds that I can add to Operations, promotions, advertising, scout salaries, etc, but I can't figure out how to edit it. I've searched google and can't find anything else on this

    What options do i have as far as “expressing support “ to get the game ported to PC?

    I'm selling my PS4 soon and building a gaming PC, but it is absolutely killing me that I won't be able to play any hockey games on PC..I've seen articles that said EA would be open to the idea of porting it to PC "if there was enough support". How TF does one express support/demand if I can't yet vote with my wallet, so to speak?

    Nhl 19 career mode

    I started playing NHL 19 as soon as it came to ea access and I mainly play franchise but I just started career mode and got drafted by Buffalo we are 20 games in and the team is 4-16. I am a LW and I have 13 goals 11 assists and 17 pims and I'm not good enough to be traded. What requirements do I need to meet to get traded?
