| Realistic created player ratings? Posted: 08 Oct 2019 12:19 PM PDT I like to create a team strictly for play now, filled out with my boys. The problem is I usually end up with 3 absolute elite players and 15 bums, despite their stats not being wildy different (I do have some that are supposed to be "bad" but, same issue, they're not bad enough compared to my middle lines.) Is there a resource or guideline to making realistic, role filling players? My first thought is to copy real players stats but that would include a lot of copying down and filling in since there's no way to compare at the skill screen. I don't want a team of superheroes, I want a realistically competitive team. [link] [comments] |

| Some of my FAVORITE NHL20 EASHL drop-in moments! Posted: 08 Oct 2019 10:06 AM PDT So I made a little edit of my first games of drop-one last night I'm so glad to see that the defense is somehow less competent than it was in NHL19. Idk how it got worse, if it's the new skating or whatever, but now you can blow right by your opponents defense without breaking a sweat! Having trouble beating that goalie on the other side of the rink? Here's a tip, just go with the old forehand backhand, and you'll make the goalie look like an idiot every time! Better yet, want to score on every penalty shot ever? Just skate to the corner boards and then horizontally across the goal-mouth. It's a challenging move though, as only P150s were captured doing it in this footage. Jokes aside I'm really at my wits end. Of course it's drop ins and I'm going to be playing club mostly with my friends as usual; but it just seems worse than ever. EASHL is my go-to game mode other than versus and it's been neglected for yet another year. The ambiance is cool, and then half the rinks have shadows that make it impossible to see the puck. The defense completely abandons a 2 on 1 and makes a user goalie fight off a 2 on 0 and that's after setting the AI to be as defensively minded as possible. It's just crazy how these things haven't been changed, and it seems like problems have only gotten worse. It's like EA actively wants me to try and break my controller. EDIT: yes I forgot to turn off on-ice trainer. Rest assured it did not help this game anyways lol. [link] [comments] |

| NHL 19: Expansion Mode questions. Posted: 07 Oct 2019 07:29 PM PDT I was playing around with expansion draft with custom rosters and there were 2 big questions I had: During the actual expansion draft I saw some good D available (Subban, Martinez, Larsson) but no good forwards. Is this expected and if not can I fix it? This one is a deal breaker for me: During the amateur draft part all of the prospects were made up. Is there a way to change this, either by adding in the real prospects or changing the mode so as to skip the amateur draft portion? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 07 Oct 2019 08:53 PM PDT I'm referring to online modes such as online versus and HUT, and the fact that you can only change your lineups and do in depth strategy adjustments with your 1 timeout(per game), that I usually like to save for the end of the game in order to refresh my players if needed.
