    Weekly Playoffs Week #1

    Hey r/EA_NHL!

    I am starting a new series called Weekly Playoffs and thought this would be a great place to share it! After each week of NHL action I will run a simulation of the playoffs based on the current standings and post the results here. Please feel free to give me suggestions and feedback on anything you would like to see added to this process! I have linked to some screenshots from the Sim that provide additional stats from the playoffs (full playoff tree, team stats, and player stats).

    Week #1:

    Eastern Conference Champions: Carolina Hurricanes

    Western Conference Champions: Colorado Avalanche

    The Result: The Colorado Avalanche defeat the Carolina Hurricanes 4-1 to become Week #1 Champions

    Leading Playoff Scorer: Sebastian Aho (6-15-21, 19GP)

    Coming back to the series

    So I picked up NHL20 and I love it so far, however, semi pro is too easy and I get lit up on pro, what do you guys recommend I do to try and improve my game?

    How do you do the (cheese?) move where you essentially dribble the puck into the net?

    I find that on a lot of breakaways/penalty shots, people will essentially dribble the puck into the net on one side as they go to the other side. The goalie follows them even though they let go of the puck already. How do people do this? It's frustrating to watch since it seems like an exploitation rather than trying at least a deke move.

    Online Co-Op a thing in NHL 20?

    From what I've gleaned so far using the googles, it appears there's some sort of online co-op gameplay, just curious what kind of options there are? Mostly just looking to enjoy some hockey co-op with a buddy that lives across the country. Not really keen on playing against other players, but open to all options.

    Be a Pro - Stuck on 4th Line

    How long does it take to get off the 4th line? I understand from an Overall perspective im the lowest OV LW.

    But I am a point per game player, playing PK and 4th line.

    Season 1 was injury riddled I only played in like 25 games - had 28 points. In the playoffs I had 15 points in 13 games.

    To start Season 2 - I have 10 Points in 8 games - Yet still on the 4th line. Makes no sense. Is line based strictly on Overall?

    Be a Pro: Can I take control of player already in the NHL?

    As the title says I'm looking if there's a way to have a be a pro career of someone that is already in the NHL. I want to play as either Jack Hughes or Kappo Kakko and play through a career as one of them.

    I remember this being possible in past iterations of NHL but I can't seem to find it in NHL 20.

    Be a pro difficulty

    What changes when you raise the difficulty from all star to superstar? Does it make all A.I better? So also your teammates or does it only make it harder to win. Asking because I play for the blackhawks (on superstar difficulty) and we are dead last in the league.

    Player stops skating while in possession of the puck?

    I've only noticed this in be a pro where my player will stop skating until I eventually come to a full stop or if I pass the puck/lose the puck. I can stickhandle still and sometimes when I remove my thumb from the joystick and press forward again it works. Wondering if this is a glitch in NHL 20?
