    Is it too much to ask for a deeper story driven Live the Life mode? Even a MyCareer would be worth spending $70 every year.

    I just wish "Be A Pro" had a story from top to bottom where you build up your "kid" and go through minors and get a proper draft event and even have a chance to play in the World Jr's.

    Ideas for nhl 21

    First off I think that they should add a retro game mode or something like that where you can play with the old teams in their old rinks.

    They should add more levels to be a pro and franchise mode like in nhl slap shot, and younger than ohl, whl, etc

    And anything else you think they should add put in the comments

    [(Unpopular)Opinion] I actually like NHL 20

    First of, my first NHL was 97 when I was 8 years old. I'd consider myself a very passionate NHL gamer since 04 until 13. I skipped 14 (because sold my PS3 to get a PS4) and played a good chunk of 15 and 16 on PS4 before losing interest during 17. I played just a few hours of 18 and tried 19 once. I also invested quite some time in NHL 2k5, 2k7 (PS2) and 2k8 (PS3).

    I just borrowed my friends xbox and got EA Access and I really like NHL 20 - with custom sliders. While definetly not a Sim I have tons of fun. Tight games and I actually get out of my seat when I score late - something I was missing the last few years. I also play with tuner set 1.00 as I think they are the most fun.

    I also played a game online and the game rightfully gets a lot of flack there. Absolutely terrible and no fun at all.

    Sure the game could be so much better but as an offline only player, I really like it.

    Can someone explain why the new gen changes were made?

    This has probably been posted before, and if so, sorry. I just remembered all the modes and stuff in 14, and it's kind of insane how 20 is. I'm happy with 20, but 14 literally had everything. The "new" dekes they added in 18 were literally in 14. In Be a pro, literally Gretzky would congratulate you in a video on breaking his record if you managed to do so. They had challenges every week where you would be put in a scenario that happened in a game like last week, where you had to make a comeback and if you did you got HUT coins. Outdoor games as well. Just thought it's crazy how backwards it is. I'm just still confused as to why all this shit went away?

    Suggestions for NHL 21 Franchise Mode

    • No trade clause / modified no trade clause

    • Performance bonuses in contracts

    • Rehaul the contract negotiation system (that doesn't mean just change the wording once in a while, rehaul the whole thing, it's time!). We sometimes have no idea why a player suddenly is not interested in extending their contract. Let's have that chat system built into the prospect/coach system in play with players so we can truly negotiate contracts. Including performance bonuses or signing bonuses or NTC/NMC would be a plus. Or maybe have us negotiate with the player's agent (as in real life) instead of with the players themselves.

    • Rehaul of moving players between CHL/NHL, we need better control over this. Not knowing whether to have AHL depth or not going into the next season is frustrating because if the guys that are in junior end up available for your NHL/AHL team the game will automatically cut some players to put your roster at 50 players. To my knowledge, you don't even know who the game cuts from your team, is it the worst trade value players, worst overall players? Chosen at random? Or at the very least let us choose the players it cuts from the team?

    • Reassign players to other leagues (IE: SHL/Liga/Russia/CHL/etc) especially those who end up as depth in the AHL. Would be cool to have this interact with the morale system too so the player doesn't always react positively to being sent back to Europe and their attributes grow slower or decrease (and they turn into a bust) or they see it as a positive thing and their attributes grow faster (and possibly turn into a gem) . As it stands now we have no control whether a player is sent back to the CHL or not once they are AHL eligible, this is done automatically and it shouldn't be!

    • Coaches system isn't perfect but it's a great improvement from previous years, what we are missing though is the "trainer" and the better your trainer the less frequent injuries are or the faster they heal.

    This should be a no brainer!

    Please tell me what your thoughts are on my suggestions, I've been playing GM/Franchise Mode for many years and some of these ideas I've had for a while.

    Drop ins with a friend is broken

    Trying to find 6s games with a friend is broken, constantly get put into seperate lobbies... We are together during the search and then one of us gets tossed in a lobby and the other left behind or thrown into a different lobby.

    Yeah the fuck has happened with EA? I remember NHL 12 which had really good music, but now I just got NHL 20, and I'm just baffled with how much it seems like they've just gave up.. have had the game for 2 days and I'm already super pissed about the songs. How many are there? Like 10-15? They're really short too and so repetetive.. plus why haven't they developed custom teams more? City names? Special characters (å,ä,ö,æ,ø)?!?!?! Custom logos? DESIGN THE GOALIE MASK?! Sloppy physics? Weird blowouts from ref? Unrealistic AI?

    This game was a huge disappointment, especially because the price is pretty high haha. This game could've been so much better; like FIFA compared with NHL if you count all different factors, FIFA wins by far. And I don't even like football/soccer too much. Sad EA! Money-desperate company.

    I was considering going up to either 19 or 20 but since all I do is play franchise mostly. I was curious if you still have to manually scout each area or do you just hire scouts for the area and they do the rest. I thought I saw that somewhere or am I wrong on that.
