I started at 17 years old in the minors dominating every game for the first 20 games I have elite high potential but only 60 overall.. Is there ANY way to be an effective Goalie in BAP? Posted: 10 Mar 2020 03:16 PM PDT I really feel like I'm at the end of my rope when it comes to being a goalie on BAP. I'm on my third save file, and none of them have even finished their first season. This latest save has me wanting to quit after only my NHL debut. I'm playing on Pro, using one of the slider sets from the EA forums (ProGoalie's, I think?). Those sliders are actually mostly fair, so I have no problem with giving up a goal that the CPU earned with good passing. The problem is that only two of the goals I gave up in that game were like that. One was a good snipe that I just wasn't fast enough on, and the other was because my teammates left a guy alone in the high slot to take a pass from behind the net. One was my own fault, where the guy behind the net faked me out and I slid to the wrong post. The rest were all some variation of nonsense. I had two come from behind the net, and in both instances I was positioned how people online recommend: with one foot just past the corner of the net. I don't usually hug the post or use V.H. because the recovery is so slow that it's easy for the AI to just go around before I can get off the post. In one instance, there was a wall battle and it was not at all clear who came away with the puck. I had the enemy and a friendly coming off the wall and then suddenly the puck is going through the five hole. More aggravating was the one where the enemy managed to sneak the puck between the three inches of space between my leg and the post and bounce it off my character's butt into the net. Then there was the one where I got screwed over by the physics engine. I made a pad save on the breakaway, only for the enemy player to collide with me. Except he didn't hit me head-on; he glanced me, causing me to slide to the right like a curling stone while still in the butterfly. Rebound goes to an enemy player who passes it back to the first guy and he scores on the now-empty net. I just...I just don't know what to do. Half the time I feel like I'm being screwed over by AI teammates or by the game's mechanics, and the game's grading system doesn't make sense. In that game where I gave up six goals I *still* had a B+ for Saves because I stopped 31 shots. Meanwhile my teammates take *45* shots and only manage to put away three. New glitch goal. Posted: 10 Mar 2020 09:07 PM PDT Anyone see this new penalty shot glitch goal where the guy skates directly into the boards then cuts across the ice and puts it in? Just had it happen twice in one game. Figured that would be illegal but I guess not. Lmao.
