    Simming penalty fixed yet?

    Posted: 17 Mar 2020 10:55 AM PDT

Does anyone know if the simming penalty option actually changes anything? new to be a pro and I switched it off as I don't want to play all 82 games.... I started simming 2/3 periods of most games and playing 3rd... we are in December and Im at 100 points already, yet i just been demoted to 3rd line on New Jersey...wtf?

Why is the poke check so inconsistent across game modes?

    Posted: 17 Mar 2020 08:57 AM PDT

My son and I have been playing a ton of World of Chel this week for obvious reasons. We really enjoy the game mode, but I just don't get why the poke check is so inconsistent. In Threes, you still trip people occasionally. In Ones, it barely happens. Then in Drop In, you constantly trip everyone the minute you poke check. It almost makes Drop In unplayable.

Why don't they make everything more like Threes?

I'm sure this has been discussed do feel free to excuse my rant.

43.6 points per game this week from this CR boosting bum. How toxic.

Have an NHL Broadcaster Call YOUR Games!

    Posted: 16 Mar 2020 03:41 PM PDT

Hello Reddit! I've been a sports broadcaster since 2007, and have worked with both the NHL's Florida Panthers and the Pittsburgh Penguins broadcast teams. Since the NHL is on hiatus (and I'm a freelancer), I'm stuck at home with no work to do for [insert updated timeline here]. And so, I'm coming to you!

I've played NHL video games since I got NHL 95 for my SEGA Genesis way back when (and I've gotten every new copy annually since NHL 2001 came out for the PS2). Ever since then, I've always found myself doing my own commentary as I'm playing... yes, even now.

While we're all stuck at home waiting for the world to get healthy again, I figured why not make myself available to the Reddit users of the world? If you're getting bored of repetitive commentary, want to add a little something extra to a live stream/YouTube series, or are just curious, I'm here to help! I'm on XB1 (same username), though I can always be patched in through Twitch from my home studio/broadcast workstation.

NOTE: Like many of my friends and colleagues in the sports world, the lack of NHL/MLB/NBA/etc. games and events means a sudden and complete loss of new income, and any relief that may come for people whose jobs are impacted by Covid-19 is unlikely to apply to freelancers/independent contractors. So, while I'm not (at this time) going to explicitly charge for this, tipping would be appreciated.

Left: Doing play-by-play for the MWHL's Vegas Jesters at City National Arena; Top Right: Broadcasting from T-Mobile Arena for Penguins Pregame; Bottom Right: Broadcasting outside of BB&T Center for Panthers Postgame

    Concussion injury time

    Posted: 16 Mar 2020 11:38 PM PDT

I can't be the only person that finds it ridiculous that every time I get a concussion in be a pro mode I'm out 7-10 weeks. Maybe it's cuz I'm not very good and I put myself in bad spots cuz I'm a casual hockey follower and don't get the intricacies as well, but in the nfl most concussions are back in about 4-5 weeks tops. Am I crazy or are the concussion injury times ridiculous in this game?

EAs NHL series is a complete money grab and I fall for it every goddamn year. Every year I go in thinking wow maybe be a pro will be half decent this year, but nope. For some god forsaken reason EA thinks the game mode about making your own player and playing through their career in the league the game is named after should be the most bland game mode quite possibly since Pac Man but even Pac Man was fun after 30 minutes. Still probably going to buy 21 though because I'm an idiot and am going to see the 10 year old feature they took out and branded as new and get excited. Just to have my hopes and dreams crushed because the $10 HUT packs > quality offline game modes

    NHL Hockey league

    Posted: 16 Mar 2020 01:45 PM PDT

    Hey all,

I just bought 20 and given that I will be at home for the next ever, I wanted to start an NHL 20 league with my friends on PS4. Is there a way to do this with just friends and can we set how many games are in the season/ playoffs etc. I can't seem to find anything online but I am probably looking in the wrong places. Any help would be great :)

    Spectating a game

I am using the NHL commentator, and he wants to know if he can join the game and spectate it? Is that an option?
