NHL 20 Cole Caufield Career Simulation Posted: 02 Apr 2020 10:29 AM PDT Hey guys! Here's an EA simulation of what they think Cole Caufield's career will look like with the Montreal Canadiens! Video: https://youtu.be/QUzFXFeuYs0 [link] [comments] |
Question about Scout Ranking in Franchise Mode Posted: 02 Apr 2020 07:34 AM PDT So I notice that if you scout prospects outside the top 300, your scout will occasionally find some prospects that will have pretty good potential and even decent skills. For example, my scout found a US prospect forward with supposedly decent skills and low top 6 potential. He was ranked in the 400s. Does anyone draft these guys that are way outside the rankings? I notice the computer doesn't so I'm just curious. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Apr 2020 07:36 AM PDT Hey /r/EA_NHL, I'm having a little fun with NHL 20 by running a fantasy league with 31 GMs drafting their own team in a seasons mode fantasy draft. I want to do the draft on FanTrax and manually fix the rosters after. Is there a resource where the people playing could look at all the Default EA NHL 20 player ratings? [link] [comments] |
ESHL Goalie - how to make saves....Don't Touch RS? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 07:00 AM PDT I've been playing ESHL goalie a lot lately and I really like it. Watching some videos on basic tips/position/strategies has gone a long way but one thing i've noticed is kind of missing is direct guidance on what to do as the shot comes. I've found as soon as i start using RS even if i'm reading the shot perfectly i've got almost no chance to save it. if i'm set and the shots coming high with no deflection, i don't really touch anything, if it's coming in low i usually RT or RT +Y if there's a crowd. Is that right? Should you pretty much not be touching RS and just manual butterflying/covering or LS in the direction of the rebound/angle? ex play strat is sort of set like
trying to figure out if the uselessness of RS is in my head or real and you should just not be touching it at all except for desperation slides/movement? [link] [comments] |
Is it possible to get a game in Ones or Threes Eliminator anymore? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 08:44 AM PDT I tried both yesterday evening and couldn't find a game. Eventually it "kicked me out of the dressing room." Just trying to knock off some of the achievements which...I get a lot of stuff is online play these days but pretty annoying to have so many that require other human players. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Apr 2020 11:27 PM PDT Has anyone tried doing this? Wondering if it's even possible to be successful, get drafted, crack a lineup, etc. as an enforcer. Like what would coach expectations look like? Thinking about giving this a go. [link] [comments] |
Online Versus is damn near unplayable when you're not the host Posted: 02 Apr 2020 06:09 AM PDT So EA NHL has dedicated servers for every game mode besides Online Versus, right? If that's the case, that would explain the "stuck in the mud" skating I get half the time despite a good connection and low latency. Every aspect of the game seems to be affected by this and it makes simple things --like retrieving the puck and zone entries -- a nightmare to execute. Switching to a player should be seamless, but there's a slight hiccup, and it's especially dooming when switching to a defenseman on the wrong end of a 2-on-1, where the d-man seems to take a half-step forward which essentially turns the play into a 2-on-0 and leads to an easy cross crease goal. The cherry on top is that the EA NHL gaming community is absolutely pure fucking toxic, lol. My fight is with the goddamn delay I'm up against but then I have to deal with these fuckers watching all their goals/penalties, puck ragging, pulling their goalie to taunt me when I'm down 3+ goals with a minute left, and all the hateful messages, etc... I'm considering taking up a different game mode. Is HUT or CHEL a lot better about this? I don't want to play any offline modes to build up a created player and I definitely don't want to feed any money to EA's HUT cash cow. But this frustration is getting the best of me. I was gonna put "/rant" here but this is not the end [link] [comments] |

Posted: 01 Apr 2020 03:43 PM PDT Some other sports games I've played (hell, even some EA sports games) have had some type of drill mode that gives real skill development, and all I can find here is the brief training tutorials and the free skate/team practice modes which don't seem to give any performance feedback. Is there a better way to get better than just putting in a bunch of play time? What do you do to hone your skill set? [link] [comments] |

Stupid Question about WoC Threes Posted: 01 Apr 2020 04:27 PM PDT I keep missing one-timers, which feels dumb because they are how everyone scores goals so it feels dumb. What am I doing wrong? Are you not really supposed to aim? Are you supposed to? It seems like when I do aim it misses the cage entirely, and when I dont it just hits the goaltender. I know it's a silly question but help?
