When is the optimal time to sign my drafted players?

I'm just getting back into franchise mode now, and I'm looking for advice from fellow armchair GMs.

In previous entries, I would just immediately sign everyone and put them on my AHL team. But that was before the new scouting/minor system.

Will players still develop reasonably if I wait a year or two to sign them? I get more production tied to the ELC, and in the meantime I can fill my ahl team with free agents in their 20s to flip for assets or be 4th line fodder.

How do you guys handle this?

Trying to make content, not getting desired results. Need feedback

    Posted: 30 May 2020 12:38 PM PDT

Basically a couple months ago I started a series with an expansion team and while the first two episodes got some traction, it has died off heavily since then (3-4 views per video)

This isn't to say I'm mindlessly complaining, I am looking for feedback. I haven't updated it in a couple weeks, as I'm trying to find ways to make it more engaging. At first I did a video a day, one game per video, but I got a little burnt out. Then I tried spacing it out a bit, no change.

So what I ask from this community, if you would like, is to go check out my videos and drop some feedback in the comments on what I could do to make my videos more entertaining!

My channel is Tryxii, any help is greatly appreciated!

We played a total of 14 hours and I want to literally quit this fun game because we can win! Literally people score on us like nothing but it take every ounce of blood sweet and tears to try and score ONCE! Can I please get some guidance on how to play this game and win effectively?

    NHL 20 BAP One Timers

    Posted: 29 May 2020 02:13 PM PDT

Ok, so I'm about at my wits end with this. What is the timing on one timers in Be A Pro?

I'm holding LT and pull back on RS, this causes my guy to wind up and signal for a pass. Puck comes my way...and when I move the RS forward there is like a massive delay from when I move to forward to when he actually swings. It's nowhere close to in real time. So what happens every time is my guy swings waaaay late, like puck is 20 feet behind him late, or way early, puck is 20 feet in front of him.

I just can't get the timing figured out for the life of me. After my first bunch of whiffs I thought maybe I had to signal and swing as one fluid motion and the game would auto swing with the right timing but that isn't it.

It's getting absolutely infuriating at this point. Why is the stick not in near linear relation with RS like it is when using poke check skill stick, puck handling, or normal slap shots?

What am I doing (or not doing) here?
