| Posted: 16 Jun 2020 10:04 PM PDT Just played this team on PS4 in EASHL. Team abbreviation was coo (hilarious), play by play name set to the 13th amendment. Jerseys were all white with three black K's on them. Then, to top it all off, they have this "grand wizard" as their mascot. You've got to be joking with this. They were able to glitch out at the end of the game before we could get their gamer tags. And we didn't catch all of these things until late in the game. Their player names were Derek Chauvin, Tropical Trav, Jim Jones, and Adolf Heetlur. I would love to report these lowlife scumbags but EA doesn't really allow that to happen. Evidently PS has more players than Xbox, just wished that we can all play together to increase the player base. I'm not expecting EA to implement it in 21 but I hope they at least consider. | Posted: 16 Jun 2020 02:16 PM PDT A bit of nitpicking, but I'd like the first say that above all, EA has to fix gameplay, ideally if people say glitch goal this or glitch goal that or get rid of cross crease, I'd suggest that EA make it so that cycling the puck is the meta. Given that puck pickups aren't even fixed, these little glitches and details are probably the least of EA's problems. I play franchise mode often like probably a lot of you guys, but there are some pet peeves that I have.
Why doesn't the AI team call a timeout? I mean if they are down by a goal or two goals, any sane coach would call a timeout towards the dying minutes of the game in real life. I don't understand it. Also if you call a timeout, the teams first and second lines are out there and they are all fresh. Meanwhile the AI doesn't call a timeout and towards the dying minutes of the 3rd they play their 3rd 4th liners because their first and second liners are dead tired. Come on. I want to see teams actually play their best players and all not grinders when they're down by a goal.
Why is it that when I intervene in a sim game or play be a pro, the team changes their goalie? This doesn't happen all the time but it happens randomly. Like after a stoppage or something, the team decides why not put our starter back in, it's like a goalie line change or something. It's not like the goalie gave up a goal or something but the goalie changing has to stop because it's just so random. At times during the simulation I would also see my backup being in net.
I just hate how they program the AI to be so casual in desperate situations with the extra attacker. I wish there was an aggressiveness to really make an effort to keep the puck in the zone and to really try and make it harder to clear the puck.
Nothing is more annoying than having low shot totals or having your goalies' save pct screwed with not facing a lot of shots.
Instead of screening and looking for a deflection, it's annoying when you're own teammate blocks your shot. I just wished they lessened the amount of times that your own teammate blocks your point shots, and more stick deflections and all. | The Saltiest: a Sad Center's Tale. Posted: 16 Jun 2020 05:54 PM PDT I was playing a drop-in game with my friend and 4 randos. I was RW, my friend was LW, and this saltiest of salted crackers was our center. It started out fine, good back and forth. Eventually we get some chances and score a goal. I get this message notification as I'm scoring our second goal. I read it while it's replaying my goal and just say "no" thinking that would be the end of it. Instead he starts trying to troll me and is intentionally throwing the game. He starts to dive at my legs and go offside whenever I have the puck. I tell him to cry more and eventually score goal, despite him trying to go offside and then trying to dive into me. I decide it warranted a bit of trolling of my own, so I tell him he's bad at being bad (he was). The game continues and we continue to get chance despite his best efforts to throw the game. At this point I just decided to play the game like he was trying to actually be a teammate, who cares. He then takes a penalty and quits. But not only does he walk away defeated, but yells as he's running away with his tail tucked and blocks me (probably) after I savagely trolled him by saying "L". We ended up winning the game 9-4 and I had 5 goals. My friend had a goal and 3 assists. He was the asshole. TL/DR: Guy talked shit and got made a fool. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 16 Jun 2020 01:32 PM PDT So I have over 40 custom teams on one of my custom rosters, and once I reach a certain team in the L or M section, the game will stop displaying the proper team, freeze, and the crash. It always happens with the same two teams and I can't delete them because it won't let me select a team once I reach that point. I can still play as those teams, but I can't edit any teams between the letters L and M because of this. Is there a fix for this? [link] [comments] |
