EA Sports NHL My expansion team won the lottery for Hughes before the season, we won the cup in our first year, and now I just won the Lafrenière lottery. Can’t think of a better start.

Is NHL 20 worth the $12 upgrade over NHL 19?

NHL 20 is currently on sale for $12. Is it worth the upgrade over NHL 19? I'm a very casual player.

Is there a way to randomize team rosters in be a pro mode?

    Posted: 22 Jul 2020 11:13 AM PDT

Like in franchise mode where you can set up a draft. Is this possible in be a pro so it's not the same old teams? Thanks ahead of time. Cheers

    Expansion Team

    Posted: 22 Jul 2020 12:34 PM PDT

I know it doesn't really matter, but I'd like to make a franchise team in the Eastern division but not sure where it should be based. I want it to be realistic. I kinda like Cincinnati but not sure if Ohio can support 2 teams. I know the team is going to be the Broncos or something similar. Any thoughts? And thoughts on a color scheme? I kinda like blue, gold, and white but it's really similar to the Sabers.

Anyone know exactly who receives the cup in the celebration?

    Posted: 22 Jul 2020 08:20 AM PDT

I know obviously the captain does and the goalie does at some point, as well, but I don't know who else gets it. I know if they are in certain spots in your lineup they lift the cup (i.e. 2nd Line LD) Please, if anyone has anymore useful info that would be much appreciated!

Funny NHL 20 goalie glitch me and my friend just found

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 10:46 PM PDT

As a goalie, here's my suggestion for mechanics that would add realism and a fun challenge to the goalie gameplay in NHL games.

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 11:27 PM PDT

I always found the goalies to be way too "robotic" in NHL games. They don't feel like actual human goalies at all... The way they move... it feels like they weigh 30lbs and that their equipment is made of nothing but air.

To make the goalie gameplay experience more accurate, realistic, and fresh, I suggest adding some new mechanics that would make players get a feel of what it is to play goal, and the real challenges goalies face.

Add 3 meters represented by bars:

    - Confidence

    - Stamina

    - Temperature (heat)

Aside from technique and natural skill and reflexes, these are the 3 main challenges for a goalkeeper during competition. While playing goal, other than stopping the puck, your challenge in the game would be to maintain these 3 attributes at an optimal level.

Each attribute would be affected by different conditions. Let in an early goal? Confidence goes down a bit. Your save ratio sucks? (ex: 3 goals on 7 shots) Confidence goes down. Make a series of saves in a short period of time? Confidence goes back up. If your confidence meter is on the low side, shots that you would normally stop would have a higher chance of slipping through. Vice versa if your confidence is high. You get the picture.

Moving and making saves would cost stamina. Move around too much and go down in butterfly for no reason? Your stamina goes down. Stamina would be a highly fluctuating and forgiving attribute that would regenerate when not moving. The lower your stamina, the slower you move.

Temperature would be a bar that starts out empty at the start of the game and would very slowly rise as the game progresses. You wouldn't be able to completely stop its progression BUT the way you play could slow it down. The higher your temperature, the slower your stamina regenerates. Make efficient movements and saves throughout the whole game? Your temperature will still be at a tolerable level deep in the 3rd period. The more TIME you would spend at below 50% stamina during the game, the faster your temperature would rise. Stamina and temperature would work in conjunction.

Of course this system would need plenty of testing and tweaking, but if implemented correctly, I think it would add a whole new level of realism and depth to the goalie gameplay.

If CHEL used the same rating system 2K uses, trolls would immediately get curved and drop ins would stop making my balls itch

    Posted: 22 Jul 2020 11:10 AM PDT

It really sucks when you try to bust some CHEL and give up an hour later having not completed a game.

Aside from the 2K system I also think if you take three penalties in a drop you should be booted.

Lastly, fuck the trolls. I pity them for having time to waste like this.

Just got this email this morning... Seriously EA... Go **** yourselves

This is on the images tab of the nhl 21 pre order on xbox. Anyone know what this could be?

    Why are mascots so OP?

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 09:50 PM PDT

All 3 players can sprint into them at full speed and they don't lose the puck. There's literally nothing you can do to stop them. If you go anywhere near them then they get glued to you and you cannot move at all.

How the fuck do you beat these guys? We see one and it's just a guaranteed loss.

    Trevor Wong’s play style

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 03:46 PM PDT

Can anybody who watches the juniors or Kelowna Rockets suggest what Trevor Wong's play style is.

I'm editing some prospects and know nothing about him.

He is a playmaker by default, is this accurate?

Why is opponents line changes grayed out in Franchise mode?

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 02:54 PM PDT

Title says it all, why is that? Cant find any setting to fix that, Id like to play games without having to play 60 minutes against opponents first line.
