Posted: 02 Jul 2020 02:10 PM PDT I don't know if I'm alone in thinking this, but the music in these games have been just terrible lately. What happened to the people in charge of NHL 09 music? My favorite, and maybe it's just nostalgia, is NHL 05. It was great. It fit the game and the sport. It seems they've gone in the direction of the most generic, boring, and annoying songs they can find. The past three years I've had to go back to the EA NHL theme just to get away from it. What happened to being able to choose specific songs from their list? It's now all or nothing, and I'd rather go with nothing. NHL 20 must be a record in how quickly I turned off the music. I heard that stupid "boom boom boom" song and that's all it took. How do you guys feel? [link] [comments] |
| The skater speed threshold in online VS is reprehensible Posted: 02 Jul 2020 04:21 PM PDT I cannot count the number of times I have a fast player streaking down the wing with a defender keeping pace the entire way going backwards. Sorry, Ryan McDonagh is not able to skate as fast backwards as McDavid skates forward It's even worse when you get a clear breakaway and the game just decides that the defender will be able to catch you no problem I just had a breakaway with Svechnikov who had about 4-5 steps on SHEA WEBER trailing me and he caught up to me easily. I don't know what fucking sliders EA has for online VS but it's unplayable bullshit. It's like they've made it so that every player is essentially the same speed. Pray to god EA gets some competition 'cause I am so tired of this fucking game [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 02 Jul 2020 08:13 AM PDT Playing against Superstar difficulty feels extremely frustrating. First off opposite team seems to score on every shot, if my defender ain't there to block it's almost certainly a goal. Every goal the A.I scores seems so scripted, like I barely get to react and it's already in the net. I don't even feel like playing against someone. Secondly, my defending players are slow as fuck, they can't cut the passing lanes and just end up spinning around on my defensive zone while opposite team is creating chances by passing the puck around 5-10 times in a row. Thirdly, my goalie can't seem to save anything and he leaves cheap rebounds all the time. Opposite goalie always plays like a god even tho he would be 80ovr 38 year old Cam Ward. They really need to make these games more challenging NOT more scripted. [link] [comments] |

Put 2 on him in the first and got the lost connection to player error, without dropping connection to EA servers. Thinking it was a bit odd, I checked his recent games and about 8 in a row were 3-0 DISC wins. If you queue against him, I'd recommend just leaving before the puck drop. [link] [comments] |

| Players you should avoid in EASHL (Xbox) Posted: 02 Jul 2020 12:46 PM PDT As we all know, EA refuses to do something about the glitch where games do not end up counting due to the pulling of the hosts Ethernet cable, or something along the lines of that. I've had numerous players pull this stunt against my friends and I, as it prevents them from getting a loss and losing CR. Because of this, I've started to note down who has done this and have a list of players you should back out against when playing EASHL. These encounters have mainly been in 3s, but occasionally happen in 6s. Players you should avoid: Marc x 89, S T O R M x 69 -> J STORM J, Barzy x 13, Mccutch18, BNABEAST91, Leueey, L Briere L, Kucherov x86x, Yaboicareys, X Caniac12 x, Brreeezzy By no means do I want you to message any of these players or harass them. I am simply warning you to back out as the game will not count if you win, since they need to protect their precious CR. [link] [comments] |

I'm sort of an ex EA NHL player (rarely play now) but I still look through this sub every once in a while. I've noticed some changes here and there but the normal gameplay looks pretty much identical to when I still played. (Last one I played consistently was 18). While I do own 19, I've barely played it at all and I completely forgot that 20 was out. I usually always bought the new versions whenever I was able to but once 19 came out it sold for more than it had ever costed in previous generations. There were barely any changes besides World of Chel, so I didn't get it. I only have it now because I saw it going for like $20 a couple months ago. Like I expected, not many changes. So I was curious as to what has changed since then on NHL 20? How do you like it? Is it better? Just want to see how a game I used to love is doing now. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 02 Jul 2020 08:09 AM PDT I have had the same primary PS4 account and a secondary PS4 account since i first established my original PSN Name back when i picked up my PS3 in 2007. When i have friends over and we want to hop on to play NHL20 online vs together, it has never been a problem, as in the menu for online vs. i just add controller as couch play and then my buddy logs in under my secondary account. last night however, it would not allow my secondary account to connect, saying it does not have that privilage. Now i know that my PS+ subscription is through my primary account and not mysecondary, but this was NEVER a problem in the past, as recently as February this year. my question is, when did this change occur? i cant even log into my secondary account on my PS4 and play any of the games that i purchased on that same PS4 they're installed on. I've used my secondary account to play on a different EASHL club than my primary as recent as december, but now i cant even load that game from my secondary account? Does anyone know when this became a thing? Or am i really missing something here? [link] [comments] |
