I lost in the 15th round on the shot after this

    Posted: 11 Dec 2020 09:59 AM PST

Does the computer(AI) compare well with elite players/gamers? I find game play frustrating when it seems un realistic as to what the computer team is capable of.

    Posted: 11 Dec 2020 08:09 AM PST

Such as picking up the puck so easily whether from me, or from a shot that they stop on their stick while facing the other direction or even constantly intercepting my passes while I can't seem to intercept any of theirs. Not to mention how ridiculous their passes tend to be at times. I know I'm not an elite player, so I wonder if playing the computer is pretty typical to playing elite players or not.

    Franchise mode draft

    Posted: 11 Dec 2020 06:28 AM PST

Is there a way to start a Franchise with a draft when using a real nhl team (original or modified rosters)?

Looks like i have to play an entire season bedore the first draft, so many rookies are recruited at 19 instead of 18.

21 servers down for anyone else?

    Worth buying 21? Haven’t played since 19

    Posted: 11 Dec 2020 10:08 AM PST

I was a faithful from 09-19 .. 14 was peak IMO Just couldn't justify buying for a roster update.

The game is $38 bucks today. Is it worth it?

NHL 21 input lag in HUT and WOC

    Posted: 11 Dec 2020 05:57 AM PST

Does anyone have major input lag when playing these modes? Online versus is completely fine but as soon as I play these modes there's a second delay to move my player. Connection is great and I tried a different controller. It's so fucking unbearable sometimes.

Feel like this may be worthwhile here as well. Did a study of the prospect growth bug in Franchise mode.

    Having a blast!

So...I've been buying, playing and complaining about this broken series for years. This year, I went a different route with things. Normally I love franchise mode....seeing as there are a ton of glitches early on I decided that I was going to create a Past-Present-Futures season and play every single game myself. A mixture of every teams alum, present players and future prospects. This required some "rules" as well as creating TONS of missing legends and prospects. I also decided that since I was assigning ratings to created players to edit current players. I wanted to widen the speed / acceleration + strength gap. While I was creating these rosters I was playing games with completed teams...tweaking the sliders. I wanted approx 6.5 goals / game....60 combined shots per game and 6 penalties per game. I've got some sliders that are damn close. I also didn't want to win every game as that's not a ton of fun for me. I lose approx 40% of games right now...which makes the wins very satisfying! NYR just scored 2 in the last minute to beat me 4-3 :(

Since I widened the speed gap I am getting much more diverse scoring opportunities. Legit breakaways. Big strong guys now crush it along the boards and in the corners. It honestly feels like I've fixed the actual gameplay for offline and I'm having more fun than ever. It's so cool seeing each teams stacked lineup. Of course the original 6 teams are nasty...however teams like Edmonton, Pittsburgh and Vancouver can throw some serious offensive firepower your way. I had some decisions on which player goes to certain teams....and newer teams got priority of guys that probably belonged elsewhere...however I think I did a pretty good job. I've been working on this for over a month now. I am honestly having more fun than ever. If anyone feels like talking shop feel free to open a dialogue.

“The team would be over the league Maximum Salary Cap next year?”

I have never seen this message in franchise mode but I keep seeing this pop up when I am trading one of my players. Can anyone explain?

Can I give one player different ratings on different teams?

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 07:38 PM PST

Let's say I wanted to have Patrice Bergeron on the Bruins alumni team. Is there a way for me to change Bergeron's rating to reflect his entire career, while still being able to keep the attributes he has on the regular Bruins team?

My Assessment : Playing NHL21 after not playing since NHL15

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 10:25 PM PST

I've been a big EA Sports NHL franchise fan since my youth. I played from NHL10 to NHL15. Mostly used to play EASHL and HUT and was a fanatic of the game. I had good level, been in the top of the standings in both HUT and EASHL.

I stopped playing for a while, went to school and sold my PS4. However, with the pandemic, i decided to buy a PS4 and give NHL a try, i mean, i also missed the game. So far, it took me some time to adapt, i'm not as good as i was before, when i used to play every single day.

The game really changed, new moves are cool, physics are great, new game modes are nice, but i find the game boring in a way. The way cross creases always go in and poke checks (they tuned them down too much in my opinion) draw automatic penalties makes the game uncreative. All the games seems the same : rush with speed, deke or go around the defensemen, make a cross crease pass and score. (I mostly played HUT)

For the first time, i didn't have 'fun' while playing the game, it seemed that the games were repetitive, and that skill nor strategy were as important as which players you have and how many cross creases you can generate. Defensemen, offensively seems useless (except for tipped shots sometimes) and defending mainly relies on covering cross creases.

I just wanted to share this with you, and wanted to know if any of you felt the same way. The old NHL's had problems (famous glitch goals, shitty AI, and backhand/forehand that always goes in), but they were more fun (maybe some would say to arcady) in my opinion, you felt that the way you played had a control on the game.

Feel free to share your comments and Happy Holiday season! :)

    Retro reverse

No Retro Reverse for BAP? I took a few weeks break after my rookie season ended. A tad disappointed to not have retro reverse for my BAP.
