| Posted: 25 Jan 2021 06:51 PM PST Started this list one hour ago, played 1 BAP playoff game, and this is what came to mind + some stuff that is just bs and has been annoying me about this mode. FWIW I've been a consistent EA Sports-NHL fan for 25 years for some unknown reason.

| Need advice for a franchise player! Posted: 26 Jan 2021 10:23 AM PST Hey everyone, I'm a longtime franchise mode fan, it's the only thing I play when it comes to EA's NHL games. I dabble in be a pro but I for the most part stick to franchise. The last game I bought was NHL 19, that year I decided to skip buying it every year and wait for some actual change or for the games to drop in price. So my question is, fans of franchise mode, which game is the better choice to buy 20, or 21? How big of a difference are those two from 19? What all has been updated the last two games? The game has a system that tracks how good someone is but doesn't use it to match make games. Just frustrating to get paired up with smurfs all month because of this garbage playoff format. | Be a Pro: Players Changing Teams for No Reason & Other Oddities Posted: 25 Jan 2021 05:18 PM PST I just have a couple questions dealing with Be A Pro. I've searched regarding the first one but don't seem to have any answers. These are sorta beyond the usual complaints but I guess point me in the right direction if you know the answer. 1. Why do they trade players all over the place when you start? I've attempted multiple instances of BAP and for whatever reason, they trade guys inexplicably and really set my roster up for failure. 2. I have an injured forward and instead of bringing up another forward, they're using a defenseman on the 4th line. 3. There is a serious issue with teammate Defensive AI vs opponent defensive AI. They're both set evenly at the default levels. Your team's defenders are never in any rush to cover the net, get after the puck, get after a man rushing the zone. They basically invite the defense to pin them against the boards EVERY time they have the puck near there. However, the opponent's defensive AI (playing on pro) seems to be flawless. They are at my neck constantly. They always know where to be and always knock me off the puck. I have to work my ass off to get a goal whereas it seems they can just get through my defense like Swiss cheese. 4. No consistency. Some games are extremely challenging. Well beyond the norm. Games often end up with 7+ goals. My goaltender is absolutely useless. His stats are horrendous. But then occasionally he's lights out but that is very rare. I'm sure this could be beating a dead horse but the Be A Pro complaints I've seen haven't really been about exactly what I've mentioned and more about the storyline, repetition, dullness, etc. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 25 Jan 2021 12:42 PM PST I have the itch to play 6v6 drop ins, but can't get into any in 19. So my question is... Is anything different besides the menu color? Is everything the exact same from player head/hair/beard, to player archetypes & traits, to clothes and gear? Did they add a few or a lot of new things to choose from/unlock? Is buying NHL every year just unlocking the exact same stuff every year + whatever gameplay updates they add? (This was the case with NBA Live 18 to 19, with updated gameplay. I basically played that game every day when it was released and it seemed they were releasing clothes i already had in 18 throughout the entire year) [link] [comments] |
