    Does player performance have *any effect at all* on development in Franchise Mode? Why do I see my players and team rating increase after successful seasons in *preseason only?* All player ratings plummet as soon as the regular season starts

    This has happened several seasons in a row now in my NHL 21 Franchise. My draft and develop players all have a solid year. Next season starts, their player ratings (and my team's overall ratings) have all appeared to rise in rough proportion to how well their previous season went.

    Then the preseason ends, and all my player's ratings plummet to where they were before. I have an LW I drafted 19th overall (potential: Top 6 F) who had a 30 goal rookie year followed by back to back 50+ Goal years, yet he continues to regress back to a 76 OVERALL the second the regular season begins (he was showing up as an 85 OVR during the preseason). It also says his role is "minor scoring fwd" even though he's been a productive NHL top 6 player for three seasons in a row. His trade value is also zero despite insane production. I just don't get it.

    Is this intentional? A glitch? Anyone else experiencing this? I feel like I'm going insane over here!!

    This is my first hockey game in a LONG time. I'm an avid player of MLB and 2k and I know my way around Madden. I have some buddies that play this game and they are hardcore vets of NHL. I'm going to be playing online a lot with them. What's a good way to get my player good? Any general NewB advice would be great also. All the settings and game modes are overwhelming at this point. Thanks in advance

    I was wondering if there is a way to turn off Player Morale after already starting a Franchise (I forgot to turn it off from the Franchise start screen). I only see the option to turn off Morale Meetings (which I assume doesn't turn off Morale in general). Is my only option to restart to turn Morale completely off?

    I was playing a NHL 21 exhibition game to try and test out some sliders. I got into a shootout as the game went into OT without anyone scoring. During the shootout, when I was trying certain dekes (such as datsyuk dekes) the whistle was blown every time and abruptly ended that specific try. It happened almost every time I tried a deke other than just simply skating forward and going back and forth with backhand t forehand etc. What's the deal?

    How to add created players to a new team in an expansion franchise?

    Can anyone tell me how I can add custom players and make sure they're on my expansion team? I created three prospects for a new Nordiques team but I started the season and they were all draft prospects.

    Is there any way to make sure that your created players go to your team in a franchise mode? Do I just leave them as free agents and try and sign them?
