Posted: 21 Mar 2021 09:45 AM PDT Like an "edgework" stat that effects how well you can open up and transition forward-backward and things like that. Like a 6'4" PWF should not feel the same in that regard as Kaprizov who has insane edgework. How about "shooting in stride" stat that affects how well you can shoot the puck on the move vs a standstill and a "changing the angle" stat that acounts for players ability to change their shooting angle with toedrags/little moves before releasing the puck to improve their shooting angle. Both of the shooting ones most players would likely be fairly average let's say a 70 that doesn't really hurt or help them in these areas but it will help the Auston Matthews like players to shine in these areas as the elite goalscorers should and the stone hands defenseman and grinders won't be nearly as likely to make these types of plays. Maybe a "play in traffic" stat that reflects how willing a player is to go into the dirty areas like in the corners or setting up in front of the net. That's what separates a lot of good scorers from great scorers is being willing to set up right in front of the net and take punishment from defenders to get open for the shot/rebound. Sorry but Clayton Keller isn't going to drive to the net in traffic Alex Ovechkin might. Just kind of spit balling on some of these but you get the idea. I feel like the current attributes are just way too minimal and generic and it results in most of the league being very cookie cutter. If you have any more stat suggestions let's hear them. Best recent NHL game on PC or Ps4 Posted: 21 Mar 2021 10:03 AM PDT Hi all, Thinking about getting back into the series after several years of absence. My favourite NHL is 04, which i played even as late as 2009. Never got into the newer ones on ps3 and totally missed out since. Which modern NHL would you recommend to get back into the series? Considering i liked 04 the best out of earlier games. I'm not interested in Be a Pro, and would probably play the GM/Dynasty mode. I'm a sucker for stats so one thing that's important to me is some consistency with real world stats. It always immersion breaking of goalies only ever reach 80% save% in manual games etc. What do you think? And thanks for the input! [link] [comments] |

NHL04 Rebuilt: speed of crowd animation, commentator hints Posted: 21 Mar 2021 03:37 AM PDT Yesterday installed my old copy of NHL 2004 with the Rebuilt mod (like explained here). Everything is fine, the game looks incredibly good for an 18 years old. Only two things annoy me: The crowd animation after a goal is way too fast (like somebody hit a fast forward button), and the commentator in exhibition matches keeps telling me (BING) how to shoot and pass. Are there any hidden settings or fixes for this? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 20 Mar 2021 09:27 PM PDT So I wanted to play a few games similar to the NHL bubble league...is there any way to pick a stadium to play at in Play Now mode? NHL 17 btw [link] [comments] |
Posted: 20 Mar 2021 05:08 PM PDT I got bored of my center and have been trying a goalie but I'm ridiculously bad even on pro difficulty. Any tips for a goalie beginner? I need all the help I can get lol. Thanks guys! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 20 Mar 2021 01:47 PM PDT What does the merging rosters feature actually do? I merged the newest roster release by EA with a custom roster I made and it just looks like the EA roster to me. Not angry about it - I am just trying to figure out what it does. Any thoughts? [link] [comments] |
DDA Confirmed To Exist In Online Games After EA Makes A Big Mistake In FIFA 21 Posted: 20 Mar 2021 05:14 PM PDT One line reads: "Other eye-catching kill switches include 'dreamSquadEnabled'. What is a dream squad? 'enablePlayerTraits' suggests EA can turn off player traits for specific users." "dreamSquadEnabled" probably means that you have a great team which enables certain disadvantages against your team. "enablePlayerTraits" is self explanatory. EA can change how your players play and feel with a press of a button. I'd say this pretty much confirms that DDA does exist in online games. Thoughts on this? [link] [comments] |
