    NHL 22 Wishlist

    So as EA is still terrible like it always was, here is my wishlist for NHL 22. Hopefully, they listen to this which they will probably won't but ok here we go I guess.

    ​

    • Real net physics. When you score a goal and the puck goes in all I see is the net never moving. It just sits there and doesn't move like it was left outside in freezing weather for 24 hours and netting was iced up and doesn't want to move.
    • More options for create a team or player. Need I say more? When being a goaltender in NHL 21 you cant even create your own mask. You were able to do that before and now you can't. For creating a team. You have the right to use all of the team logos in the game yet you only decide to give us NHL and ECHL logos? What?
    • Could we actually practice in BAP like they do in FIFA? Why is FIFA being treated like a firstborn and we can't even get the features they have even though you've already made it for them.
    • More team names in creating a team? You guys have TacTix, Burritos, Hashtag Hockey and you don't have Nordiques or bucks? Is this a child's game?
    • COULD I GET DRAFTED ANYWHERE BUT 1ST OVERALL WITH THE KINGS AND RANGERS!?
    • When the opposing team is losing 5-1 with 10 seconds left in the game and I'm holding the puck to end the game could they not chase after me as if they have an extra attacker trying to score?
    • Commentating is horrible there is too much wrong with it I can't say it all.
    • Real NHL goal songs instead of this weird music and the soundtrack? I get it it's copyright but you made a whole soundtrack with copyrighted songs every year.
    • On the topic of songs, the soundtrack is terrible. Could we have an option where we could choose to listen to a specific year's NHL soundtrack or use all of them and have a selection of songs you don't want to hear?
    • When making props in creating a team could I be able to choose what colors I want to use???
    • DO I HAVE TO MAKE A MASCOT TO CREATE A TEAM?

    That is the end of my rant/wishlist

    Are they going to do another update. They missed multiple guys from the Avs last time. Mainly newhook. Can they not add players once they played in the AHL?

    NHL 14 on PS3 more enjoyable than NHL 21 on PS5

    I feel old posting with that title but Holy smokes there's something about NHL 14 that I just haven't been able to shake the last 9 months. Gameplay is just more fun and the game has a better randomness to it for Franchise Mode.

    If anyone likes to dive in deep with 3+ seasons of franchise mode I suggest trying out a PS3 version of the game, preferably NHL 14. I'm going to comb thru every team/ junior team and bump up future stars potentials for my new franchise I'm starting soon.

    Having said that I will drop this game instantly if and when NHL 22 delivers a hit for their PS5 debut in the fall. But having a throwback game to come back to is very nice to fall back on.

    Advice for puck control in recent games?

    For context, I used to play hundreds of a games a year in online versus and HUT from NHL 10-15, but sort of fell off.

    When 20 hit EA Access last year and 21 did this year, I decided to give it a try again. The biggest thing that's turning me off is puck control. On offense, it often feels like my players lose the puck before I can even begin to skate with them. Other times, it feels like I have good positioning to protect the puck, but I'm poke checked from silly angles.

    On defense, it feels like I can poke check, stick lift, check and still have my players fumble the puck around, only for the opponent to end up with it back instantly.

    Am I missing out on some new features for puck control, or do the sliders just favor a poke check spam now?

    How do you give a semipro base architecture to your custom teams arena?

    I'm making my custom team right now and I can't seem to find the semi-pro stadium option, only the pro stadium options. I know for a fact that there are several semi-pro stadiums because I customized my AHL team in Franchise and chose a semi-pro, so now I'm wondering why all arena options aren't available.

    Worth picking up 21 in the sale as a casual fan?

    I know this is another one of those "should I buy?" posts so I apologize in advance. I'm definitely a casual hockey fan so I don't necessarily notice all of the little nuances of the sport, such as baseball that I follow closely. But since it's $20 right now and the last NHL game I bought was 18, is it worth it? I was also kicking around the idea of grabbing EA Play for a year and going that route. Anyway, thanks for any input!
