Starting game mode and progression through them as a beginner skater

Which game mode do you find the easiest to get into for a newbie?

I mean .. i did play NHL 98-99, 05-09 on the PC and 13, 19 on consoles. I know the rules and i love hockey. But i find the console games too overwhelming when it comes to the skill stick and all the strategy and gameplay settings. Same goes for NHL 21. I tried some Versus games and got smacked. So i ended up playing Goalie. Then i find it boring playing against the CPU but playing online as goalie is really hard for me, because most of the time i have a FAIR connection indicator which means there is a little delay to my input and that makes it sometimes not playable as goalie at all.

So now i want to start from scratch but as a skater. I would like to also play HUT or Versus but i think i should first learn to actually play skaters effectively. I just don't know where to start ... the training camp tutorials is an obvious first step. But what would you recommend after that? What's the first easiest mode to play as a noob for leanring purposes? And what would you recommend as the next step afterwards?

    My plan:
    1. Training Camp
    2. BaP or Season with locked position (which position and difficulty?)
    3. CHEL Ones or Pro-AM
    4. CHEL Threes or Drop-Ins (?)
    4. Season (full team control)
    5. Versus or HUT

Does it make sense? What about HUT challenges?

How can you make BAP more hard?

    Posted: 01 Jun 2021 06:26 AM PDT

I've tried everything but I can't seem to get BAP to be more hard for me. I keep getting 1st round after 1st round after 1st round. Is there anything I could do to make it way harder besides blowing on purpose, simulating games, and being a goaltender?

Advice on “Teamwork” in game (Be a Pro)

    Posted: 01 Jun 2021 08:59 AM PDT

In game (in Be a Pro mode), I've found it pretty straightforward to get A's in offense and defense. I can't figure out how to get a higher rating in "Teamwork." As far as I can tell, timely shift changes and passes are the only things that help in this regard. Even Assists seem to only increase the "Offense" rating.

Any advice or tips on how to increase "Teamwork" in game?

    Slider help

    Posted: 31 May 2021 04:56 PM PDT

I have tried a bunch of slider combinations. Every thing I can think of still has my time on ice at 30 and I never lose enough stamina to make a line change. Any realistic sliders out there that make it feel actually realistic?
