    ever since the switch to new gen the games are copy and paste with a few new features, I'll admit the new skating and shooting are cool and 3v3 EASHL was nice but other than that it's the same game. Skating and Shooting is cool and all but if the game modes in which I use them are the same who cares, I'm so bored of HUT because it's the same game every time I don't feel rewarded scoring 7 cross creases and short side snipes, EASHL is very fun but by now I've gotten to D1 all I have to do is win an elite cup but even that who cares because your guys don't even care, you get a banner and that's it. So what if instead of NHL 21 we just play 20 for an extra year and NHL 22 EA has time to theoretically (who knows if they do) add a better Be a Pro where you don't make the NHL out of training camp every time and the coach/Gm Does smart things like Send you up and down or not put a 71 overall sniper on the first line PK and in the top 6 and if your not a top pick you have a good chance of getting traded if the team is good, GM Connected, more customization like in 2K where you can upload shit and idk paint the ice green or put custom pictures on the boards or in the faceoff dots like in Europe maybe design the rink like those old baseball games, you could be a GM in any league like the DEL or SHL maybe they can get the NCAA involved but would you want to skip a year for some of these things or new things that would be fun?

    Not sure how they're doing it... but those guys are just insane. Total coordination and quick .... feels like they don't go outside that much and may all be 13.

    Is it just my Franchise save or do current contract cap hits rise with the cap each season?

    For example, within 3 seasons Troubas contract is above $9m per. Panarin's rises to over $13m per. Obviously, thats not how it works in real life. Seems like a very fixable error for EA

    Coach and Line Chemistry Issues

    I finally started playing franchise and I think they are a year away from the new coaching and line chemistry being good. For example: I can't see what systems a player on another team likes to play - so you have to trade for someone, plug them in, and see if it works, which fucks up morale (not to mention fog of war). Also, the coach your team comes with sometimes uses strategies that suck for the team's makeup. Either the coach should be adaptive to the team or the user should be able to override it. I'm using the Leafs and somehow Lawson Crouse was the missing link to the top line, except Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Tavares and Rielly all don't fit with this assclown coach's boring systems. That part I guess is really accurate but a sensible coach (not Babcock) would just change the strategies (trotz) to better fit the roster.

    Your opinion on which game to get

    Hello. Recently I've tried NHL 20 via 10 hours trial on EA Access and was having a lot of fun. Started to get back into hockey as someone who played EA NHL games almost 20 years ago.

    Thing is, that after playing 04 game, 20 is the first one I touched, and even back then, I can't say I was huge hockey fan - I've learned how exactly offsides and icing work last week for example. But I still really like the game.

    How do you compare this year's edition to 19 or 18? Mostly I care about single player modes, like Franchise and Be A Pro, as I don't think I know yet enough about the sport to be succesful at HUT, and also don't want to get stressed like in FUT. And obviously I'm still learning about rosters and star players from highlights on youtube, so don't care that much about them. Playing against CPU is much more fun for me in NHL 20 than in FIFA

    Main thing is money. Older games are much much cheaper and can get them in EA access for even less (just for a year ofc). Is there so much improvement in this year's game to justify pretty much double the price for new gameplay and saved 10 hour progress (mostly goofing around so not that much), if rosters aren't important to me yet? Do you have more fun in Franchise Mode this year, or any of previous games?

    HUT help questions.

    Hello. I play the NHL games on and off, and I don't usually play HUT so please pardon my ignorance.

    1. I made a HUT team and opened up loyalty packs. I can't change my team name. If I make a new team so I can have a different HUT team name, is there a way to keep the players I have?

    2. I played an offline HUT game and it had me in default jerseys. (NJ Devils since that's who I picked as my favorite team.) I found how to make a different jersey my Active jersey. It didn't use that jersey (Slovakia) in the offline game. Does active jersey only apply to online HUT games?

    Matchmaking Issues?

    Hey guys,

    Been playing 3v3 all night. So much fun.

    Only issue is the matchmaking. It's garbage. Takes forever to find somebody and it's often with a computer instead of full 3v3s

    Anyone else experience this?

    Drop-in stats

    Sometimes when showing the team intros, it will highlight me and say something like "143 career goals." But if I go to the hub where it shows my record, it says I have 42 goals (I play a lot of defense, and you know nobody uses the defense in drop-in).

    Anyway, is there a reason for this? Is it counting goals scored in threes or HUT or Pro-Am or something? Or is it just another example of the game being screwy?

    AI changing my trade block

    My assistant coach keeps changing my trade block. Obviously sometimes (Like July 1st, or trade deadline day) he changes your trade block and says something to you along the lines of "Hey, just FYI I updated our trade block based on the results of the draft" or something like that, that's whatever. It's when your trade block gets automatically changed randomly mid season without any notification that annoys me. Anyone know how to fix this? I play with literally every setting in manual btw because I'm a micro-management nazi, so i don't think it's an assistant coach setting that I left on.
