| Posted: 10 Dec 2019 07:17 AM PST There are way more goalie animations on saves that don't allow the goalie to pass out which gets very annoying. This has always been a problem but it's worse this year. Not only does it slow the game down and ruin the flow, but now you have to take a face-off in your own zone. There should be an option where you tell the goalie to shovel the pass into one of the corners instead of passing straight out. This is what goalies actually do in 3v3 because it guarantees possession and possibly an odd-man rush. It would be nice if EA added this into the game. Flow would be much better and it's realistic. And I cant just press a go home but from deep in the menus so it takes just as many clicks to get back. This wouldn't be so bad if the load times from screen to screen weren't so comically long. | Posted: 10 Dec 2019 10:36 AM PST I'm not used to console gaming (or maybe this is just EA games) but I haven't been able to find a fully explained manual/etc for the different modes. I just got PS4 and NHL20, and mainly for the franchise mode and Be A Pro mode. So far have started two games:
Before investing more time into this mode, how realistic does it evolve? Does the game cheat to make my player do better if I'm not doing? I hate scripted stuff like that. I want a full proper sim. If I'm sucking and not producing, I shouldn't be given the same chances as before. And some other things I wish was there to make it more fun and some more questions if you guys know answers to: - should have an option to redo draft lottery. It gets boring doing it multiple times and knowing who the top 3 teams are every time - should have an option to do the draft one by one. So much more fun to see who's getting picked and when it'll be your turn. Right now, it just jumps to whichever team drafts you. This is one of my fav part of the real NHL: watching the first 10-15 picks. The drama and intensity is really fun, and a missed opportunity here - how does the draft ranking work anyways? I assume my player isn't competing with anyone else that is actually being simulated right? Like if I score a lot of points, but another player have outscored me, he should be going 1st. But I assume this is another part of the sim that is streamlined and so as long as I do better than a certain level, I'm probably going 1st overall? - what happens when you sim your games? does it sim it based on your stats or does it penalize you for simming? playing a long career would take way too long if I actually have to play every single game Anyways, I've googled a lot and haven't found a manual or something that explains everything (like if it was a popular pc rpg game, there would be wiki pages etc with all the rules and stats explained). Please let me know if such doc exists. EDIT: forgot to mention, the only things I'm finding are "review" articles dated around release time... so basically just pump up articles to sell more of the game without actually providing proper details. Posted: 10 Dec 2019 11:05 AM PST I know that there will be some sales in the coming months and by summer the game will be bundled with other sports games and we get a few more bodies on the rink, but EA would benefit greatly from having crossplay. I'd also make leagues a bit more interesting as you could have mixed teams, but even have console vs console if you wanted. EA please for the love of god get that crossplay going, wait times are ridiculous at times. [link] [comments] |

| What’s up with the computer ai online? Posted: 10 Dec 2019 01:01 AM PST I suck at the game right now but what's up with the computer ai? I check a guy to separate him from the puck and my computer team mate stands 5 feet away while the other team skates up and gets possession. This happens like 5 times per game. Whenever there is a 2 on 1 the defenseman back pivots and loses speed which results in them getting a clean cross crease pass. Passing is inaccurate too but I think I might just suck in that category. [link] [comments] |

| (NHL 19) when does the draft pick trade value get re valued? Posted: 09 Dec 2019 03:14 PM PST I'm Detroit in my first year of a franchise. Since I'm winning I want to trade my first round pick to another rebuilder team for their first rounder while my trade value is still high for my picks.
