    Eliminator question

    Posted: 06 Jan 2020 08:00 AM PST

I don't play much NHL. Honestly I'm not terribly good at it. I can assure the worst player on this thread can blow me out haha. I'm not used to 5 on 5 I usually just play be a pro mode so I tried 3 on 3 chel but wasn't a fan of it so I went to 1 on 1 on 1 eliminator and it's fun but a lot of matches there's a shit ton of diving and Eben when I'm not holding the puck I'm getting hit hard on purpose but I can't do that back to anybody? Is there anyway to combat this? I know a typical response would probably be just play more and get better at it but any advice is welcomed

Best EASHL player build for seasons?

    Posted: 06 Jan 2020 04:46 AM PST

Our team only plays 3s, and I always play defense. I've been using a 5'7 165lb sniper because it gives me a good shot from the point and a lot of speed to backcheck, but I'm finding it hard to pass with him and also to be physical, he also gets knocked off the puck super easy.

Any recommendations? We're div 1/2 team btw

EA strikes again. I only have 5 of 8 coaches because I don’t have the budget and my head coach is awesome, and it literally doesn’t matter.

    Question about my goalies

    Posted: 05 Jan 2020 09:16 PM PST

I have a young prospect I was relying on becoming a starter role in my franchise but he didn't quite make it there. He's 80 overall with a backup role but so is my aging Dubynk who's a 76 overall. Should I trade a draft pick to acquire a starter role goaltender for a year or just make sure dubnyk and the prospect share the load?

What’s holding EA back from implementing the feature that you can load a previous save from the previous years game for BAP like MLB The Show does with RTTS?

New Player - Help Needed Regarding Drafted Players

    Posted: 05 Jan 2020 01:39 PM PST

    Hi all.

To preface this question I'm a foreign hockey fan (English) who last played NHL 2004 years and years ago. I've recently got back into the sport with regards to watching and playing, picked up NHL 20 over the Christmas period, but obviously I have a lot of ground to make up with regards to understanding everything.

I've started a Franchise mode as an expansion team and am just looking for help regarding Rookie signings, or rather, when/if to sign them immediately or at a later date.

My first draft class went pretty well from what I can gather, it ended up as following:

    1st Round - Kaapo Kakko - Age 18 - RW - Overall 80 - Elite Med

    2nd Round - Kaedan Korczak - Age 18 - D - Overall 63 - Top 4 D Med

    3rd Round - Gordie Bollig - Age 17 - C - Overall 55 - Elite Med

    4th Round - Landon Gratton - Age 18 - G - Overall 47 - Elite Med

    5th Round - Brett Leason - Age 20 - C - Overall 69 - Top 9 F Med

    6th Round - Igor Korolev - Age 17 - D - Overall 48 - Top 4 D Med

    7th Round - Benjamin Corbell - Age 18 - C - Overall 57 - AHL Top 6 F High

So my question is what to do regarding signing these players?

Kakko is obviously going to be signed straight away and go straight into my NHL team but the rest are all obviously developmental players, and I really don't know how development works.

First of all it seems looking at the resigning page that they count as my unsigned players for 2 years before they become Unrestricted free agents.

so my questions are as follows

    1) During the two years that they're "mine" to sign can I sign them to an ELC at any point? Will I run into any trouble if I wait until part through the 2nd season and then sign them?

    2) Will players develop even if they aren't signed?

    3) If I do sign all of the draft class to an ELC how does this work regarding expiry of the contract? I have loose understanding that unless a player plays 10 NHL games it doesn't count against a year of the contract but how long does this last? Surely you can't have a player on an eternal ELC contract as long as they don't play in the NHL?

    4) Will some of those players develop A LOT? Specifically my 3rd and 4th round picks have Elite Med potential but are only currently at 55 and 47 overall, they have a lot of development to do, will this just happen?

    5) At what Age / Overall should I be signing players to contracts and sending them to the AHL, is there a minimum age for AHL players?

Sorry for the long post, would appreciate any help you can give.

    Many thanks.

Hey so I'm currently thinking to buy a ps4 pro, because I want to play nhl since my main platform is pc the last on pc is nhl09.

When I was in military we played nhl14 and there in the mode where you play as a manager for a team you could change the equipment on goalies and players. Not only on your team but other teams as well. Is this available in any of the new nhl games? Like in nhl 15-19?
