    Anyone else having connectivity issues?

    Last two days I can't retrieve an opponent. Servers are supposedly up and working on XB1 and my internet is fine. Contacted customer support and they troubleshooted me and nothing helped. Recommended I call my internet provider and turn off IPv6... which I'm not doing. Always had it and never had an issue and all other games work

    At this point wondering if I'll ever be able to play this game again.

    Up 3-2 and on the PK in the final minute of an EASHL game. Paused to take our timeout before an offensive zone faceoff. The puck then teleported into our net to tie the game.

    Chnages to shootout mode

    While shootout mode is definitely not a hot mode in NHL at all. It's still a great place to go to get some good 1 on 1 practice once in a while. But the one thing I hate about doing online shootouts is having to exit to the main menu after every match. We could really use a sort of lobby for shootouts similar to in EASHL. When matched with a player you could see their W/L or if they're on a streak as well as edit your lineup. I also think they could add a battle royale mode for shootouts like the eliminator modes.

    Or even simpler: let us go right back into matchmaking from the post-game menu with a 'Next Game' button or something similar

    Will we be able to play NHL2020 on PS5?

    Hey there guys,

    I decided to finally buy a console so me and my dad can play newer NHL games, (we've been stuck on NHL08 for 10 years now) however, due to corona our home team left the league featured in NHL games and most likely will not be in NHL2021 for that reason. Since my father wants it there, we are stuck with NHL2020.

    I wanted to buy PS5 since I want to play titles like Demon's Souls, Kena and Bloodborne aswell, but I was wondering if I'll be able to play NHL2020 on PS5. Does anyone have any idea?

    Why can’t we player lock multiple positions yet?

    It seems so easy and simple, it frustrates me that if I'm playing a game online, I can't player lock more than one position. When my buddies and I play, let me player lock both defencemen, my buddy can take the forwards. Why is it that if we want to avoid the pandemonium that is player switching, I'm limited to being stapled to only one option?

    Team Abbreviations

    I've seen other games do this ( I believe NCAA)

    Why do they make team Abbreviations with the team name in them?

    TBL, SJS, LAK, VGK,

    Its a small gripe but I don't ever see those abbreviations used in broadcasts

    Do we think NHL 21 will be faster on PS5 vs PS4?

    Given the much faster engine under the hood, any ideas if we think that playing NHL 21 on PS5 will make menus run faster, simming games, etc.? I know there isn't a PS5 version of the game, but considering it's backwards compatible...thanks!

    Has anyone played the beta? If so, care to share?

    With the hockey drought we've been having since March, and the delay in the season start come October, I've been getting an itch that I can't normally scratch. Also, my piss poor Flyers team played like absolute dogshit these players and got eliminated in game 7 versus the Isles (how did they even manage to get that far when Mtl should've beat them is beyond me).

    But now, here I am, with a hankering for hockey and my only fix is to play a game series I vowed to never play again in 2016... EA Sports' NHL series.... and you know what? I'm kinda excited. I know what to expect, and that's a shitty game, but I can't wait to embrace the shittiness. I just want to create a franchise mode, a be a pro mode, collect cards on HUT, and basically do it all. I played every game for over a decade and then nothing for 4 years. Well, with COVID locking us out, i've decided this year is the year.

    My hopes are low, but i'm still curious if anyone's played the beta and can report back with some good/bad news? how does it compare to recent years past?
