Best NHL game for customization and goalies?

I'm gonna buy a new NHL game sometime, as I'm getting into hockey. I only have NHL 16 on XBOX One. But I was wondering, what's this subreddit's input on the best NHL game?

Stuff I'd personally be looking for in an NHL game would be:

I really like customization, custom jerseys, custom equipment, custom arenas. And I also like using Colorado and Carolina as the Nordiques and Whalers, so I need those classic jerseys too.

I play goalie a lot in it, so which one would also have the best goalie mechanics and animations?

So I'll be looking for one with lots of customization and a good goalie mode, anything released on XBOX One or PC. What do you think's the best for this?
