Posted: 23 Sep 2020 11:27 AM PDT Are there any good tournament sites with tournaments for online versus. I've trying to find something but the sites I find always have no upcoming tournaments on them. I'm thinking it might be a little late for NHL 20 but anything would be nice, thanks! Let's talk about EA's decision to intentionally nerf backskating/pivoting speed for defensemen Posted: 22 Sep 2020 03:55 PM PDT In the recent AMA by the EA NHL dev, he was asked about the slow backskating/pivoting speeds for defensemen without the puck in the NHL 21 technical test, and he said it was a intentional change and that it would take time to learn and adapt, creating a "skill gap" for defensemen. My opinion is that this is a terrible idea. I'm all for creating more skill gaps, but do it in ways that don't completely handicap the way any normal human being plays defense (i.e. maintaining tight gaps, pivoting and backskating simultaneously to continuously front the puck with your stick, etc.) If they actually go through with this and don't re-tune it shortly after release, good luck getting people to want to play as a defenseman in EASHL. No one wants to play defense by sitting back on their own defensive blue line on every rush just to avoid getting burned. Anyway, just my opinion. [link] [comments] |

Returning player with questions Posted: 23 Sep 2020 11:12 AM PDT Good day. I last played NHL 17 and thinking of buying NHL 20 for PS4. I have seen that this year there are Alumni teams... am I able to use an Alumni team...let's say Hartford as an expansion team? Can I add 1 or more teams to the current league..or am I to make a substitute? Are there real coaches in the game? If not can I edit them or can I creat a coach? Thank you for your time [link] [comments] |
Is NHL 21 going to offer Smart Delivery? Posted: 23 Sep 2020 10:35 AM PDT Considering the release date of this game, right before new consoles land, I think it would be insane for them not to offer Smart Delivery. Then again it is EA and I'm not sure they give 2 fucks about this series anymore. Do we have any info on this? No way I'm buying this game on xbox one a month before my Series X arrives. Posted: 23 Sep 2020 09:18 AM PDT 1 - how do i get it three days early? not the 10 hour trial but full access to the game three days early. 2 - will it be on game pass? 2.5 - if so, does that mean we can play 21 on pc? (not sure if all game pass games are the same on console/pc) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 23 Sep 2020 08:40 AM PDT Hopping back on NHL wagon (last game was 18) As usual I'll be looking to start a BAP. I have always done the memorial cup and then straight to draft. My question is, how long is BAP? Is there a retirement age or is there a season limit? I'm looking to start in juniors which if I remember from 18, you start at a younger age. How long are you in juniors? (1-2 seasons I'm guessing). I'd hate to do juniors and waste a year or two there if BAP goes off total seasons. [link] [comments] |
Assistant/Associate/ Goalie coaches. Posted: 22 Sep 2020 09:33 PM PDT Playing franchise mode, im wondering how much these coaches really effect things? Should i spend time trying to sign good ones or is that a wast of my time. Thanks [link] [comments] |
Posted: 22 Sep 2020 02:24 PM PDT I recently got NHL20. Controls are quite frustrating so far but one thing driving me nuts is stealing/maintaining the puck. I have had the puck stolen from a player behind me plenty but can never do the same I've quickly (and frustratingly) learned poke check/lift the stick results in a penalty 95% of the time. I can be bumped up right against a player and absolutely nothing. How the hell do I steal a puck without a penalty?! [link] [comments] |

EA Sports NHL and EA NHL's URLs still redirect you to NHL 20 Posted: 22 Sep 2020 04:57 PM PDT NHL 21 launches in a couple of weeks but if you Google EA SPORTS NHL or even just type easports.com/nhl or ea.com/nhl - the first result and the redirects still go to NHL 20. You'd think this is something they'd fix early on so people see the latest game, not last year's. I bet if EA's communications department looked at their analytics, I am certain people are going to the wrong site regularly. [link] [comments] |
Unpopular Opinion: EASHL clubs ruining competitive balance in drop ins Posted: 22 Sep 2020 04:47 PM PDT Unless I join drop ins with other friends, I can depend on getting matched with sub-500 CR players and matched against over-700 CR teams out for blood. I know this because I can watch my CR go between 1000 and 600 depending on who I play with. Clubs should be the only way to team up, otherwise there's almost no reason to play a drop in unless you enjoy losing to trolls. [link] [comments] |
