Switch to the right player Posted: 23 Sep 2020 09:42 PM PDT So I'm defending with three players down deep and a forth on the boards who turns over the puck to a player at the blue line. I switch players hoping to get one of the d-men in the shooting lane (because god knows you have to do everything yourself in this game) and... ...it switches me to a floater up at center ice nowhere near the play (someone who had just subbed in). Of course, I'm scored on. ​ EA, seriously, if your not going to fix shit like this after 20 years, just stop making hockey games. Let someone else pick up the license. It's not a hard algorithm to write but it needs to be just a tad smarter than 'nearest to the puck'. If I have the puck switch to someone between the puck and opposition net. If the other team have the puck switch to someone between the puck and my net. The amount of time I have to spend randomly switching before I get the player I need is insane. Fix. this. Fucking.
