    Franchise mode is an absolute mess.

    1. The defensive pairings still aren't aligned with the coaching, so figuring out your pairs is a complete guessing game.

    2. I have two 81 overall rookies, one high top 6, one low elite. Both had about 50 points. Both are RFA. Both want 16 million and consider anything less to be an insult.

    3. My amateur scouts don't do shit. They vaguely scout a bunch of guys ranked around 1000 or so, but otherwise unless I specifically tell them to scout a player, they just don't do it. So I'm going in to the draft pretty much ENTIRELY BLIND.

    4. The value of draft picks is completely fucked. I'm going to assume it's a glitch, and EA didn't actually think it was balanced... The Preds came to me with an offer of Forsberg AND Ekholm for the low low price of 2 second round picks... 1st round picks have roughly the same value as Seth Jones straight up. It's totally fucked.

    5. That stupid friggin "mystery stat" is still in the game, so some players shoot like absolute freaks (Ovi, Laine, Seguin, Karlsson, etc.) and some guys won't shoot no matter how good their shooting stats are (Panarin, Rantanen, etc.) How is it that this shit has lasted through, what?, 4 games in a row now?

    6. As pointed out by u/poub06 you can't see minor league stats for your prospects. I've also noticed that a bunch of players just don't have their season stats from past years. As a Sens fan, Colin White for instance has no previous statistics. LOTS of guys don't have stats from this years' playoffs.

    I just started playing with Action mode cause I felt the standard cam feels too "sterile" and after all these years I want my NHL game to feel a little more immersive.

    I've actually really enjoyed playing in action mode recently and was wondering if anyone else uses it regularly? (Used video flair since it has to do with the video settings)

    If Im not the one passing or shooting my team can't score

    I'm always the one coach calls on when we need anything to happen

    If my defenseman and goaltending suck and give up a trash goal, its still somehow my fault and I get told its my fault

    I know how Connor must feel every day now.

    Can you not change sliders in be a pro?

    I tried changing the gameplay sliders for my pro, but when I start a game they don't seem to be in effect. And they don't seem to save. I tried creating a preset in the general settings section and choose that preset in the general rules section but when I open be a pro it has the standard sliders.

    Is the simming realistic on NHL 21?

    I simulate all games in GM Mode but in previous NHL games, the results have been somewhat unrealistic.

    Failing to reach the playoffs with a good team is one thing but I'm thinking of starting a Detroit save and I don't want my team to finish top 3 in the conference year one. Partly because it ruins the feeling and rebuild plans.

    What's your experience from this game?

    Is it still not a thing? I wore #4 in the Champions Hockey League but got drafted by LA, where of course that number is retired due to Rob Blake. It slapped me with #5 which I'm not a huge fan of, at least as a forwards number (respect to Lidstrom). I went to the setting in edit player and changed it to a number I know isn't used on the Kings right after the draft but it's still showing me as #5.

    Player Overall Rating confusion?

    I'm not sure if anyone else is running into this but with 'created players' and players in general when you go into their stats screen you get one number overall and then when you go out to the main screen their overall jumps up much higher. Does anyone know why this is?

    For example I wanted to make a college player and had him at a 78 overall to play in the AHL, but the second I load up a roster he is between a 81-82. Does anyone know why?

    Gradual increase of ice-time in Be a Pro

    If anyone already passed through first season of be a Pro in NHL21, do you again get ridiculous ice time so soon, where during first season you replace guys in 1st and 2nd line with 80+ rating while you still have 70-71?

    NHL 21 Be A Pro: unable to sim shifts in BAP

    Did they remove the ability to sim to the next shift in BAP? I have tried changing the settings from classic to authentic and back again and still I can't sim to the next shift. I just have to sit there and wait .

    5 slashing penalties in the first period????

    I'm playing BAP on nhl 20 and the penalties are fucking horrendous. Before I changed anything my team was taking 10-12 penalties a game and I had maybe 1 or 2 of them. I've read about adjusting the sliders and I've done that. I have penalties on 1/4 and I have cpu slashing set to FIVE! And it's still like every minute my team takes a slashing penalty. The five this period are all CPU. Is there any way to fix this or should I just buy 21 and hope that they've fixed it? I've seen quite a few complaints about the penalties on nhl 20.
