I understand that nobody outside of EA got to beta test the game to give a full report back during COVID-19 pandemic... but letting ur team testers give the final call was BULLSHIT!! U took out the one thing we here in Canada love the most when playing EA NHL... The Canadian Hockey League!! I look forward to winning the Robertson cup->Memorial cup most years on BAP.... what u did by cheating us on "playing" in CHL (champ league) or CHL (junior)... u only play couple playoff games then drafted! We're the fun in that BS! I like to work my way from juniors and hopefully get drafted after 5yrs..

HELP. tips for difficulty settings.

Hey crew,

Played NHL games for a fair few years casually, long story short having a lot of frustrating with getting a difficulty setting that is fluid and most importantly fun.

When I am on Pro it is always a blowout , winning most games like 8 - 1 or 6 - 2 .

When i switch to All Star it is often the other way around... bearing in mind though I am usually always still much higher on shots and TOA. (e.g. end of game 30 shots compared to CPU 12).

However I am still losing almost every game. sometimes 4 - 1 ... sometimes 5 - 3 . This is always with the CPU having maybe 15 shots a game. A very common occurrence is the CPU also scores in the first 10 seconds without me touching the puck .

I am guessing you can all understand winning games 8 - 1 everytime on Pro isnt fun at all... then jumping up to all star.. playing decent and getting trounced often in tiny periods where I dont touch the puck, is almost more frustrating.

I have messed around with the settings/sliders to try and find a fair balance... already tried Pro mode with AI difficulty slider at max (6/6) and it is still the same... even increased my goalie AI reaction time by ten which made things a little better... but still loosing probably 8 out of 10 games if i am lucky.

SO... any tips or tricks ?

is anyone else having this experience?

(for a little extra info; when playing BaP i have to play at least All Star or my teammates and goalie are so bad whenever we our team CPU gets the puck 50% of the time they just get pinned against the wall and dont seem to ever make early passes and when I am on the ice (active play) goalies save percentage is (as above) maybe 0.700%)

Any help would be super appreciated.

TLDR - casual but experienced NHL gamer.

Cant find reasonable difficulty setting.

Pro mode winning every game +5goals .

All Star mode always up in possession , shots, TOA, still lose 90% of games with goalie save percentage at around 0.700 - 0.800%)

Nhl 21 online versus matchmaking

Just wondering if there's a setting or something I'm missing, I'm a mediocre player and often hover around 470-520 rating, and over the past 8 games I've only been paired up with one person within 100 rating of me. It goes both ways, though more often than not they're people in the 650+ club. Is that just the way it is?
