First Expansion Team - Season 1

I am new to hockey and this is the first NHL game I've played since NHL 2K7 (LOL). I know the basics but I am still just learning as I watch. Anyways I wanted to share my first season results with my first expansion team. I also modified the divisions a little bit. Each division now has two teams from Canada (including me) I don't know what hockey fans consider key stats so I will keep it short:

- 46-32-4 record (4th in Atlantic / 11th in NHL)
- 257 GF / 225 GA
- Team highlight stat (my personal opinion) PK 85.1% (3rd in NHL)
- Taylor Hall was team point leader with 39 G and 29 A (missed 8 games)
- Cup Playoffs
- Lost games 1-3, Won game 4 (3-1 FLA)
- Won game 5 in 2OT SH Goal by Chris Tanev (Hall gets hurt with "mild concussion")
- Game 6 2 late goals forces OT 5-5 > OT goal from Pavel Zacha series tied 3-3 (Hall returns)
- Game 7 FLA ties the game with 20 seconds left forces OT > FLA Wins

Khudobin was 1-2-1 in the series with 17 goals allowed. Needless to say he's gone via FA or trade.

AHL Team

- 46-25-11 record (1st in North / 8th in AHL)
- 255 GF / 202 GA
- Vladislav Namestnikov was team point leader with 22 G and 48 A
- AHL Playoffs - Lost opening round 3-1

I'm someone used to playing Madden and although NHL has it's own set of EA plagues, the franchise mode had much more depth and was a much more fun experience in terms of purely managing a franchise.

3/4 of the time it's the habs, and whenever it isn't it's the lightning or the stars.
