    I don’t get it

So I'm pretty much just ranting, but man really don't understand nhl 20 sometimes. I'm a decent player. I've been playing since nhl 10 and been division 1 player every year climbing as high as top 700 on leaderboards.

This game... I do not understand how some of the matchups take a complete dump on you. Every now and then I'll get a game where no matter what I do to defend the cross-crease pass, it will always find its way through my defenders and past the goaltender. It's like the defense and goalie don't exist. The opponent is entirely predictable yet there is nothing I can do. On top of that, those games also seem to be incredibly hard for my players to simply pick up a loose puck or poke/lift the opponent. Everything is just noticeably different in these outlier games and it's as if the game has determined that you will loose right from the start. Does anyone get these type of games?

How do I get better at Online Versus?

    Posted: 13 Dec 2019 04:28 PM PST

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not terribly good at playing vs other players. I'm really good playing against AI offline, but not other people.

I started playing Online Vs last week and I can never win. I've only won 1 in 12 games. (Technically 2, but the person left that game)

I've noticed that in almost every game, the opponent always has the exact same strategy to scoring. Crash the net on one side, and then cross-crease pass and score off the one t.

What I'm wondering is why my players never crash the net like that? I almost never have an AI player on the opposite side of me that I can pass to for a one timer. How do I make it so that there's usually a player that I can pass to on the opposite side or in front of the net for that one timer?

Also if you have any tips on how to get better, I would appreciate that. I'm not consistently getting blown out or anything, but I'm finding it so hard to score and then my opponent has these 80% scoring chance plays that I can't do myself.

(Also, does competitive match you with people of your skill level? Cause I'm usually playing against someone that seems way better than I am)

Semi-pro too easy, pro too hard?

    Posted: 13 Dec 2019 03:50 PM PST

Hello! I have PLAYED NHL 20 for 2 weeks now, and I have noticed that when I play on semi-pro, I easily score 15+ goals. When I turn the difficulty up to pro, I lose by atleast 5 goals. I have already checked the cpu difficulty slider, but it's 0/6 all the time. Also, changing the speed and shot accuracy of the cpu doesn't seem to affect it in any way. Any tips?

    Drop in Questions

    1. When you are looking at players names in the lobby, what's the deal when they have "P1 LVL30", in regards to the P1?

    2. I have seen people with low levels (level 7) with level 2 perks. Whatup with that?
