EA Sports NHL Amazing how realistic the AI is as Pat Maroon is suggesting pizza places

My question is, one of the focuses I always have is for face-off's, yet I don't ever face-off. Am I missing something where I can choose to face-off? Or is the game just being dumb?

Morale

Morale in theory is a good idea in GM mode, but it absolutely ruins the game. Year 3 of my expansion team and I've built a team I'm really starting to like the look of. Offense is lacking a bit but I just drafted Brad Lambert and things look promising, the defense is already top notch and so is goaltending. But since it's an expansion team, they have low chemistry. There's no shot that this team should be 0-23-4 and it's ruining what should be a very fun GM mode for me. We're losing nearly every game with 6+ goals scored which is ridiculous considering the defense and goaltending, as well as most of my forwards being defensively oriented. I'm still rebuilding but I expected this year to be a transition year as we made great additions but we're 2 years out from contention. Last 2 years we finished bottom 3 but at least we were playing respectively, this year I was hoping to make small improvement but instead morale is at 55 and I had to trade solid bottom 6ers who were disgruntled and added leadership types and instead somehow we're allowing more goals. Bull shit game

I know this team isn't good. But there's no chance through 27 games they don't have a single win and are averaging 6 goals against. We've been 10 goaled 5 times. And this was before I realized I had the scoring meter set to medium. (Usually keep it on high)

Half the team is disgruntled. Is there any way I can turn off morale now? Can't seem to find it. It sucks because I had so much fun building this team and adding local guys (Jones brothers, Coleman, Noesen etc.) I already know this will carry over into next year and my prospects development will be stagnated.

Edit-just finished the year. Final record is 7-68-7. And of course we drop 3 spots to the 4th overall pick

Can’t change lines in offline modes.

I just made a season mode, and for some reason when I hopped into a game, it doesn't let me change lines and the players do not get fatigued.

It feels like I've tried everything to try to fix it and I was wondering if others are having this issue as well.

Is this a preorder bonus or why did I receive all this. Didnt get anything good out of the packs, but found it strange as I wasn't expecting anything.

Edit: Appears to be all the rewards for week one hut rush. It glitched out midway, but it seems they just sent all the rewards out for everyone. My kids had varying levels of packs and it seems to be based on how far they made it in hut rush.

Franchise roster Question

I'm doing a franchise season with the blackhawks, and for the life of me I cannot add dominik kubalik to my starting third line. It shows that he is in my system, but when I view my AHL roster he is nowhere to be found. When I click on his name under "in the system" it says he's a "scoring third line forward." But I can't do anything with him. He is not injured, and he's not in the minors or another league. It is frustrating as hell. What do I do?? Thanks for your help

Problem with gameplay sliders

New to the sub so not sure if this has been asked before, but it anyone having issues with gameplay sliders resetting? I changed them in main menu and Be a Pro but every game I play they just reset back to default.

Difficulty not adjusting? Rather the AI defense is broken or my difficulty is not adjusting this game was on superstar. I normally play on all-star on most nhl games and the games are pretty close

Does anyone have tips or tricks to get your AI defenseman in 3s to not be so brain dead? I cant tell if its connection or other factors but the ones we play against and the ones we have on our team are light years apart... thoughts?

For example : constantly rushing up, never attacking on the forecheck in our zone and biting on 2-1s

Missing equipment in the game

I know most people don't care at all about the equipment. But has a former equipment manager (football) and working in the sporting goods industry, I'm an equipment nerd.

This game is missing a couple pieces that, to me, should've been added. The main ones are the Bauer ReAkt 150 helmet, worn by Kopitar, Laine, and others. As well as the CCM Tacks 910 helmet, worn by Josi, Filip Forsberg, Tavares, Matthews, etc. Also it looks like the Bauer Nexus skates were just completely removed from the game. The new Bauer Supreme SuperSonic skates should have yellow accents and not red.

This is being super nitpicky, but I feel like we should be getting as authentic of a game as possible from an EQ standpoint. If it were me I would have any equipment worn by NHLers in the game, regardless of how old it is.

I feel like I've been duped. I feel like an idiot. I've been buying NHL every year since 14. I played 14-17 very casually. 18 I got into eashl really heavily. Same with 19, I also played a lot of HUT and franchise. 20 I played a lot at the start of the season, but my eashl buddy didn't get the game. I played Hut for a few months and then quit. I was gunna skip out on this year but I saw some videos and though hey why not.

I played be a pro for for probably about 10 hours this year. I had a lot of fun with it. It's actually quite fun, well, for the first year. After that it's just the same old bs as before.

I also started playing HUT again. I've played 20 or so threes games , 10 squad battles, and 10 rivals games. All I gotta say is this game is stale as fuck.

The AI is still god awful. I was describing it to my friend the other day as "imagine playing Madden but you can only control one player at a time and everyone else that your not controlling just sits there" obviously hyperbolic, but that's how it feels sometimes. Especially in BAP.

Maybe I'm just not as good as I think, but online is just frustrating af. The goals that go in are just ridiculous. I've been scored on about 10 times but some bs goal where the goalie is hugging the post and someone they squeeze it between his leg and the post. Frustrating, and not in a good way.

Playing squad battles kills me too. You have to play on the harder difficulty to make it worth your time... Jesus man it's shit. The only sure fire way to score is cross crease 1T. That's all I do. Over and over and over and over again. When I get bored of that I pass it around and shoot it but there's no point. It won't go in. You have to do the cross crease 1T or you will lose.

What's frustrating about playing superstar is the fluctuating difficulty, dumbing down of your teammates, and the cheating. I swear I'll dominate a team for 2 periods straight and then all the sudden the game decides "it's time for a comeback" and it feels like there's nothing I can do to stop it. The harder the difficulty the dumber your teammates get. This is honestly just shit game design. Then the cheating. The between the legs poke checks, the inhuman passing ability, it's ridiculous.

They could honestly make the game so much more fun by making the user goalie AI the same as the opposing goalie AI. The goalie is much more realistic and let's in a lot more shots that aren't just the same cross crease bs.

All this along with all the little things that are broken year after year. The little things that are fucked up... it's just unacceptable for a AAA full price game. There are tiny studios that build incredible games that work/feel better than this and are far more polished. It's unacceptable

I don't know, I just wish they would scrap the whole game and start over. I wish they could pull off something like rocket league. Rocket league is completely skill based. It's all physics and the only way you can win is by being the better team. They need to start over because at this point this is unacceptable.

Playstation vs Xbox

I am buying a console so I can play some NHL.

I used to play a lot back during nhl 09 and nhl 10 on Xbox 360 and the community was great. Active lobbies for 6v6 and the VHL which I think is now LGHL.

I am mainly an EASHL player now so out of the 2 consoles which should I go for? I remember the 360 community being so active so is Xbox still the way to go for sports?

Anyone else noticing the difficulty gap in BAP is way too extreme? 9 games on Pro and I have 18 points; 9 games on All-Star and I have 0.
