• I can spend hours in the team creation menu. Creating old franchises (the relocated Hartford Whalers, Minnesota North Stars, Quebec Nordiques) and new ones (the upcoming Seattle Kraken).

Great Eight Edition Incentive Not Downloading (Xbox)? Posted: 25 Nov 2020 11:01 AM PST Hi All, Just purchased the NHL 21 great eight edition on sale for 39.99 on the xbox store. It looks like this is supposed to contain two items, the Base game and the "Great Eight Edition Incentive Pack" which should contain all the bonuses for it. I don't see the incentive pack downloaded, and I don't see any add-ons available for my game. I don't get any of the incentives I purchased, so I'm not sure what's going on here. I've read that I might not get some packs until the first of the month, is that correct? I don't seem to have access to any of the following and am just wondering if I did something wrong or am missing something. Gameplay is broken Posted: 24 Nov 2020 11:53 PM PST This doesn't even feel close to an NHL game, gameplay wise and in terms of immersion. I'm sure this has been said a million times before but I just need to rant here Too many hits. Firstly there is overall just way too many huge hits in this game. Playing on superstar with adjusted sliders and game speed at 1/6, I often find myself straight up getting laid out on the ice with huge hits. It's absolutely impossible to carry the puck for long periods of time or set up any play. EA needs to learn that not every player is Reaves or Wilson in terms of hit strength and aggression. Lack of offensive zone play. So much of my offence is generated by end to end rushes and it is absolutely a lost cause to ever try the cycle the puck in the offensive zone. It's just ridiculous since a large majority of NHL goals and offensive chances come from offensive zone cycling and set up. It doesn't feel like a real nhl game at all due to 99.% of the game being offensive rushes into the zone Player physics. Way too often my player gets knocked off the puck too easily after barely touching an opposing player. Absolutely inexcusable since ea has been touting new and improved player physics every game here. Why hasn't this been fixed ea? No difference in each player. Save for the big names like McDavid, Matthews and Crosby, every player plays the same. This makes the game feel boring and repetitive. My 67 Ovr AHL grinder should not play identical to an NHL second-line centre. Overall this game, like many others have said is not an NHL simulation game and more a ridiculous, fast paced and arcadey like game rather then a simulation based, realistic feeling NHL video game submitted by /u/canucks0202 [link] [comments]

Soundtrack choices Posted: 24 Nov 2020 02:16 PM PST Every year, the soundtrack is great for about the first two weeks of playing the game and then I hate hearing the same damn songs over and over (Imagine Dragons is dead to me now). Would it kill EA to add Spotify integration or some other way of selecting background music?
