    What's up VGPHLers, your time has arrived!

    The 2nd VGPHL Prospect Tourney is ready to rock. We are still collecting signups for the upcoming tournament so be sure to sign up before the draft to increase your chances of getting onto a roster. All players that sign up will be placed onto practice rosters throughout the entire season.

    Building on the success of our last tourney, we have some exciting things tell you about:

    • The tournament will last 3 weeks
    • If you make it onto a regular roster and don't quit, you will graduate to FAA status as soon as the tourney ends and be placed into THIS SEASON'S AHL FREE AGENCY
    • If you make it onto a practice roster and don't quit, you will graduate to FAA status as soon as the tourney ends and be placed into THIS SEASON'S AHL FREE AGENCY as long as you played at least one game throughout the tourney
    • If you win the tourney while on a regular roster, you will graduate to FA2 status as soon as the tourney ends and be placed into THIS SEASON'S NHL FREE AGENCY
    • If you win the tourney while on a practice roster, you will graduate to FA2 status as soon as the tourney ends and be placed into THIS SEASON'S NHL FREE AGENCY as long as you played at least one playoff game throughout the tourney

    April 6 Draft 9:30PM ET Live on the HUB
    April 11 Opening night
    April 24 Player protection acceptance deadline
    April 25 Playoffs start

    Interference Penalties Are Broken Right Now

    I've never seen so many interference penalties be called in this game these past few days. It's not like they're good calls either. Here's the broken logic that I've been seeing behind interference calls lately:

    Player A barely touches Player B who's skating by him=interference penalty on Player A

    Player A hits Player B along the boards who has the puck=interference penalty on Player A (Example)

    Player A hits Player B when the puck is 1 inch in front of Player B's stick=interference penalty on Player A

    but...

    Player B strongly shoves Player A away when they're chasing after the puck=no penalty (Example)

    Player B hits Player A behind the play when Player A doesn't have the puck=no penalty

    The broken interference penalties makes it hard to play this game since hitting and contact is a big part of it. Don't worry, EA will be sure not to fix until NHL 22, since games definitely don't need to be fixed after 6 months.

    Franchise Mode help

    A lot of questions I have as a guy that's just getting into this, literally this is all new to me.

    1- What players simulate well all the time or close to all the time, please list as many players as you can think of here!

    2-How much does playing a guy in the lineup according to his potential matter? (Could I put a 84 ovr top 6 med in my third line as a center as an example)

    3-How do goalies work...are there better types of goalies to have (like butterfly over hybrid or vice versa).

    4-Best possible combinations for each line or players you noticed work really well with each other consistently, again as much as you can tell is appreciated!!

    5-kind of the same as number 4, except defense! How should I pair my defensemen? Pair 1? Pair 2? Pair 3? What should each look like?

    I got a better idea, I’ll just uninstall. Imagine banning people for their humorous usernames while the NHL series continues to slide into irrelevancy. I believe if there is one they can do, it is create a generic name, nothing original about this franchise anymore LOL Get woke, go broke.

    but the new Bally Sports (at least in the Detroit market, I assume it's the same all over) put the scoreclock at the bottom of the screen for NHL games. I missed the Tigers game this afternoon to see what they did there.

    Anyone get a 72 hour ban today?

    I assume it's because of my name which WAS longdik Donnie. My buddies also run with "dik" or some sort of dick related joke. Chitdik Rick and sloptop Brock being the other two. I received no notification or email just a ban. You've got dudes running with names with the n-bomb in it, the darkest skin tone and white beards and I possibly get banned for dik or dhong in my name. Nevermind the dudes like Bolt upright/wired crazy and mcmodtech throwing games for yeaaaaaaaaaars, nah they won't get banned. I'm all for the n-bomb and other racist shit being banned but this is insane especially with all the other shit they could address.
