Is this game good for a single player season mode? Posted: 05 Jun 2021 09:12 AM PDT Pretty simple. I want to do a fantasy draft and play single seasons. I don't care about Be A Pro, HUT or Franchise Mode at all. I won't be playing online (I have always been bad at NHL games lol) - but does the game finally WORK this year? I mean in NHL 19 the refs did not call many penalties, has that at least been fixed? Also keep in mind I won't be paying for this game, this is on my XBox Live Game Pass Ultimate. Thank you all in advance. [link] [comments] |

What’s the deal with people chopping their stick after scoring? Posted: 05 Jun 2021 12:00 PM PDT I've been seeing this all the time in NHL 21, especially in threes eliminator, where after scoring a goal, someone does this weird chop animation with their stick. Recently I have wanted to understand why people do this. Is there some sort of hidden joke or hidden meaning behind doing this? Because I don't understand it. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Jun 2021 11:08 AM PDT I'm not sure if this is a bug in the game or if I'm just not well versed enough in the more intricate hockey rules, but this has happened to me in multiple games now and I can't figure out why. Both teams will get a player sent to the penalty box for roughing, resulting in 2:00 minutes of 4-on-4 hockey. Then, at some point during the 4-on-4 I'll get another minor penalty resulting in a 4-on-3. The opposing team scores on the 4-on-3 power play and then we return to center ice to play out the remainder of the 4-on-4. Immediately after the 4-on-4 ends, only the opposing team's player will return to the ice giving that team a 5-on-4 power play for however much time is remaining on the 2:00 minutes of the minor penalty I made during the 4-on-4 (or until their PP unit scores on me again). So essentially the opposing team is getting two power plays out of one minor penalty caused during a 4-on-4. Is this a normal part of hockey or an issue with the game? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 04 Jun 2021 05:24 PM PDT Is there a way to see who assisted on goals on the sim screen? The fact it doesn't just show under the scorer's name is beyond me. I mean I remember NHL 10 having this... [link] [comments] |
Franchise settings so the AI doesn’t cheat? Posted: 04 Jun 2021 01:53 PM PDT I'm playing franchise on superstar. I have everything set to max for AI learning and whatnot. It feels like the AI is just cheating. I don't feel like it's legitimately better than me. I'm getting out scored at least 5-2 while out shooting, out passing, and out possessing it. I'm not a bad player (around 645 CR online vs) so I'm surprised I'm being hit so hard by AI. I can also tell when a player is just better, it doesn't feel like cheating. The AI is absurdly fast, precise, my goalie is horrible, even their rookie goalies are mind blowing. Settings tips? I want to struggle, but I want it to feel like the other team is just better. Difficulty scoring in Be A Pro 2021 Posted: 04 Jun 2021 08:41 PM PDT Tore through the OHL getting about 5 goals by myself playing center becoming #1 draft pick. Since I got into the NHL i think I've scored 2 goals over 6 games. Lots of assists. Standard Play Now 5v5 I do fine, just not sure if my character is just utter dog shit. My team seems pretty terrible just getting caught up against the boards constantly and making horrible passes ect. I know I'm not great at this game, im on semi pro but nothing i shoot even goes in. Lucky if I hit the net, playing as a standard I can nail most shots. [link] [comments] |
