| How much will the game go on sale for around Black Friday? Posted: 15 Oct 2019 09:09 AM PDT So, some people have already noted this, but in the states, NHL 20 is currently on sale for $34 at Best Buy. My plan was to wait until the game went on sale around Black Friday/Cyber Monday to get it, but I kinda figured between $30-$35 would be the price then, and if that's the case, I figure I'll just pick it up now so I don't have to wait another month. Is that a good estimate for Black Friday sale price? Or could it dip to the $20-$25 range? [link] [comments] |

| Does NHL 20 have local franchise mode multiplayer? Posted: 15 Oct 2019 11:35 AM PDT I remember many iterations ago this was possible, but the recent years they haven't had the option despite every other major sports game franchise having it. I just want to sit down with a couple buddies and fantasy draft, play out a few seasons, and hopefully one of us wins the cup. I honestly recommend people who are stuck int the perpetual loop of buying every year on release only to be disappointed to take the plunge and not buy on day 1. I feel relieved from what can be compared to as an addiction to this franchise. I hope next year they can do enough to bring me back, but for now, EA NHL, you lost a long time regular buyer. | Nhl 19 - How to score on friend using default settings? Posted: 15 Oct 2019 08:22 AM PDT Hi everyone. My friend and I just recently got into NHL 19. He doesn't touch team strategy settings so everything is left at default and I'm trying to exploit that. Offensively I can't seem to get any looks. It's hard to get 2 on 1 opportunities and when I do my friend will dive in the passing lane to block the pass which usually results wrister getting saved. When I'm set up in the zone it seems hard to get a clear shot too. Does anyone have any tip on how to get open looks against a 1-2-2 Red neutral zone, staggered defensive strategy focused on taking away the one timer passing lanes? [link] [comments] |

It seems like a lot of fun (I've been to a local minor league team in town), and I'm going to commit to get into it. What's helped me get into a certain sport in the past is the franchise mode of a game; so to make a long story short, that's what I'd be playing most if not all the time. If I'm just a single player franchise guy, is 20 worth it? Or should I go 19 or older? [link] [comments] |

I find myself tiring of online play (in general, not just NHL) and want something to do alongside Franchise mode. Is it worth playing a full CHL season? Should I go with fast mode or medium? | I hate how the AI’s speed gets boosted on superstar Posted: 14 Oct 2019 04:46 PM PDT It doesn't happen in any online modes but when I'm playing a single player mode like Squad Battles or Play Now, the AI defenders always gain speed they don't have in the first place to stop breakaways from happening and it's so ridiculous how annoyingly obvious it is. You could have McDavid blast by everyone but if there's another defender anywhere near him (especially if there's a chance for a breakaway), the defender will always gain enough speed to stop it.
