| Posted: 08 Jan 2020 06:54 AM PST Forgive me if this is a dumb question but I haven't really played a hockey game for ages so I'm really rusty and a lot has changed. I've been playing EASHL with a friend of mine and while it's fun, I've been having some trouble when it comes to holding onto the puck. So whenever I try to deke or skate around the opponents, they barely touch me and I lose the puck, yet I can skate right into them while trying to check them and they hold onto the puck no problem. So why am I losing it so easily and they can hold onto it like it's stuck to their stick? Am I missing something? [link] [comments] |

| So I played drop in on EASHL for the first time in a couple years Posted: 08 Jan 2020 08:27 AM PST I usually by NHL just to play franchise mode because I had always had bad internet that is frustrating to deal with sometimes. Awhile ago I upgraded and I'm fine but still didn't play NHL Online. All I can say is how can people be so bad at this game. I don't know the ranking system but I see players with P1/P2 in front of their level (I assume that's a prestige) who absolutely are just trash. I played 5 games last night and luckily won all 5 ( I recorded 2 whole assists because I made it my job to play Defense) when I did play a few years ago I always played RD. But Jesus some people need to learn to break out, backcheck, cycle, etc. just seems more fun when you play fundamental hockey instead o cherry pick or just throw every puck on net. Of the 5 games only 2 did I have a LD partner actually play positional hockey. Rant over see y'all out there. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 07 Jan 2020 06:06 PM PST I can't be the only one who finds the menus awful to use. Getting to games modes can take 10+ inputs but what really makes it miserable is that everything is slow; there's a delay or outright loading screen for everything. God forbid you get a couple dressing room errors in a row, you feel like you're in the menus for 10 minutes. I'd rather navigate in NHL 1999, don't make it as flashy and put more options on the same page. Who honestly cares if the background looks cool if it causes that much loading lag. Let me know if it's my OG Xbox One letting me down because this is brutal. [link] [comments] |

| Suggested Solution When Someone Quits Ones Eliminator Posted: 07 Jan 2020 03:28 PM PST Whenever someone quits a game during a Ones Eliminator game, it needs to cancel the game entirely for everyone else too or the player with the puck loses stamina drastically compared to the one without the puck. I only suggest this due to the fact that if someone quits early, as soon as one of the remaining two players takes the lead it gives the leader the opportunity to just skate around with the puck preventing the other player from having a fair chance to even get the puck and score while time just runs out. I've seen this happen 90% of the time because people don't play skill based games skillfully, they look for the cheapest way to win. [link] [comments] |

The Training is currently on auto. Are there some things I definitely need to do to get my player better? He is a 71 right now, the first season is mid November. What does ask for a trade do? | Question about HUT Competitive Seasons Posted: 07 Jan 2020 12:36 PM PST I'm currently going for the platinum in NHL 20 since there's no trophy for reaching div 1 in HUT this year. However, there is one trophy called "Competitor" and I have no idea how to get it. The description simply says receive a competitive season reward, but I can't find any info anywhere on how to get the reward. Do you have to play HUT Rivals and/or squad battles? Do you have to win every game to qualify? Or are there any other ways to qualify and get the reward? There's another trophy that I'm struggling with and it's winning the Ones tournament. I hated that mode in 19, and they made it worse in 20. Every time I play, someone just gets a quick goal and plays keep away. It's just not fun. I don't get why EA can't add a possession timer. Anyways, I can make it to game 3 to 4 but I always face exploiters or 2 on 1 situations, etc. Is there a way to shareplay this trophy? Or am I going to have to keep playing and hope I get lucky?
