| For the jersey customizers out there Posted: 30 Nov 2020 11:55 PM PST I'm sitting here making some custom jerseys, tryna make it look like one of the North Star sweaters, and some of these color customizations have no right to be attached all to one selection. Every single part of the jersey scheme should be color customizable. The amount of customization just in the neck area is insane compared to the combination of colors on the body area. | Haven't played 21 in about 2 weeks, may not again for some time (A rant) Posted: 30 Nov 2020 01:31 PM PST As a guy who plays strictly EASHL and Franchise Mode in this series since I started really playing the series 10 years ago, it pains me that my interest has died for this game quicker than it should've. Franchise Mode, a mode which has had a few gripes in the past but has been a mostly playable experience, was broken and unplayable at launch due to issues that hadn't been present in the game before, which is par for the course for EA. (The issues with scouting, trade deadline, etc. may have been fixed already, but I'm already disinterested enough not to care if they even fully fixed them) EASHL, the mode I've put thousands of hours into in the past, has become laughably awful and showcases the brutal gameplay of this game. Cross crease galore, and the occasional snipe or usual glitch goal that comes so shockingly, that you almost are left speechless that you were able to do it. NHL 20 made it so it was almost too easy to score, so EA decided to make it so that only one way is a viable scoring option in 21. Just awful. It's sad to see this series, which I think has gotten a bad wrap at times and I've been a bit of an apologist for in the past, become a shell of a sports simulation game. I already know plenty of fanboys will come with the usual "Get gud" or "play defense" comebacks for my gameplay issues, along with how I'm a stupid idiot for not liking how "cool" the franchise mode is in this game, but I feel like they are the minority now. This game is indefensible and a massive step down from 5+ years ago in my eyes. It's too bad hockey is not a super popular sport like soccer or football to the point where another company could jump in with the NHL license and make a better game, because I feel we as fans deserve better. EDIT: This is more or less a piece-togethered rant of issues I've had with the game from a month ago culminating in a "final thought" post presented here. I've had a few posts made specifically about be a pro, EASHL, and franchise mode, but I felt it was worth putting together a final thought post like this. [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 30 Nov 2020 05:07 PM PST So I'm trying to make my jerseys look as close to the 2010 Olympic Canadian jerseys, 2014 Sochi Jerseys, or World Junior Jerseys as possible, but I am having trouble.. idk why they don't add those jerseys into the game, or have the template for them to allow us to build them ourselves, but does anyone have any tips for building them?? P.S. I know the World Junior Canadian jerseys are already in the game, but I don't like the font much, and would rather build my own jerseys based on Canadian Jerseys.. Any Canadian Jersey from 2010-Present will do.. P.S.S I also know its a weird request, but I like to make my jerseys look nice, and LOVE all the Canadian Jerseys so.. [link] [comments] |

Make the computer goalie shittier or something to balance teams at that point. [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 30 Nov 2020 10:13 PM PST So just finished a 6v6 drop in, in NHL21. I scored a goal, finally won my first fight, got a ton of hits, and then went to triple ot. The game got pretty buggy in the 2nd ot, rolled back a penalty about 40 seconds, and the ot number changed from ot2 to ot4 several times. When the game ended, there was no progression tab, player summary, etc, and I received no experience or credit for any of it. EA needs to get it's poop in a group. Anyone have similar issues? Stop the madness Posted: 30 Nov 2020 06:25 PM PST Games should not be decided by the play of AI players in a mode meant to be humans vs humans. EVER. They should always play the same, no question... and awful to mediocre at best. No god damn beast mode shit. No magic defense. No Gretzky offense. Enough already. If you enter a game with 4v4 and a skater on the other side quits out, firstly, they should forfeit the freaking game. THAT'S WHY WE CHOSE EXACT. Secondly, they shouldn't gain a god damn ADVANTAGE when one of their players quits out in a club game. It's completely preposterous. Same with goalie in drop ins. When a human drop-in goalie quits when down, their team wins almost every damn time if the human goalie remains on the other side. Use different coding for AIs in humans vs humans games than in other modes. For the love of god. Stop. The. Damn. Madness. This is not rocket science. Use logic. Edited to add; as u/roastbeef678 stated, if someone quits in a club game, their team can only go on shorthanded however many quit. It's a perfect solution. [link] [comments] |
