    I'm sure this will get downvoted to hell, but it's a really good game.

    First, there are a ton of flaws that drive me crazy, but hockey is lightning fast and has a lots of complexity. Given how difficult this sport they did a pretty solid job. I enjoy the hell out of this game even though there's not a game that goes by where I'm bitching about the AI or some wacky thing that happens.

    There's probably not a single gripe you can write in the comments that I won't agree with, but overall I love the game. Maybe I'm just blinded by how much I love hockey.

    I hope it keeps getting better.

    Seattle Kraken in NHL 21?

    Do you think the Kraken will be available to use in the 32 team expansion draft for Franchise mode? This seems pretty easy to implement and market. They could be in the game similar to how your created teams are options to use in the expansion draft.

    Also, now that there is a team, if you were to control a different team, do you think they will have an expansion draft during the franchise mode? (As in, you're the GM for Pittsburgh, for example, and then during the 2021-22 offseason, there's an expansion draft for Seattle.) This seems pretty easy to implement as well, however there is a little extra work involved.

    I'm fairly confident that the first option CAN be done, but much less confident that it will be done.

    I have doubts that there's enough foresight to implement the second option.

    This game needs a complete makeover for next year or else it’s gonna flop

    The menu has been the same for the last 3 years, it's been slow, has the same layout and the only thing that's changed it's the colours.

    Play now needs different tiers so if I want to play as the red wings then I don't have to be against the Canadian national team.

    We need an actually playable hut mode, boring game modes with boring cards. Look at 2k, they have stuff like triple threat, unlimited, offline challenges for good rewards, good them packs and a smooth menu that makes the creating lineups actually possible.

    A good career and world of nhl mode. Be a pro is needs a way better progression system, with different builds, you can't even tell the difference if someone is a sniper or a dangler. an actual story, interviews and so much more. Be a pro should be tied into world of chel like 2k. We should be able to progress our pro offline and online in eashl. We need it to be like an actual world instead of a slow menu, 2k has a whole neighborhood with shops and people everywhere.

    Franchise mode needs so much work, faster menu, sim speed, better draft and scout system, be able to download user created teams and rosters, Change free agents so they don't want 15 million dollars at 35, better progression and finally an online franchise to play with friends.

    This is a just something's that nhl games need because it's literally just a copy and paste every year.

    (XBOne) Elite Controller 2 initial woes, send help

    Hello people of r/EA_NHL. Specifically calling out to the Xbox audience and to those of you who use an elite series 2 controller. Recently picked the controller up, and have been super stoked to use and abuse it for all my gaming needs, but have run into an issue that is a hard sell for me. 98% of my time spent in NHL is in EASHL 6s, and 100% of that time is playing defense, and for whatever reason, I can't stick tie in front of the net for the life of me. Switched back to my og controller for a few games, and right back to robbing people. Any ideas? Is there a setting or adjustment I'm overlooking? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated, thank you!

    How's the simulation in NHL20?

    Currently, NHL20 is on sale for $12 on Xbox game store. I don't know too much about hockey to be honest and I've never played a NHL game before but I'd be interested in trying it. I'm more into the managerial parts of franchise sports games. Therefore, I'd probably be less into playing the actual games rather than building teams and watching them perform through simulations or other features.

    So is the simulation and team building in the game fun and in depth? Would it be challenging or something easy to win? Are the simulation statistics realistic? I usually stick to Madden or 2k but don't really enjoy the simulations as they tend to be pretty bad.

    All in the title. I usually don't even sign them but drafted a stud who hit 83 overall after one year in junior. Seems impossible to place in the top six though because all the combos are minuses.
