    It’s a shame EA can’t get licenses for national teams, at least for the top 8 or 10. Also most of the EA national jerseys are absolutely atrocious

    I know the game is called NHL 21 but I still wish EA cared more about national teams. The only licensed national teams in 21 are Austria and Canada, EA even managed to loose license for Germany iirc

    I'm not saying all teams should be licensed but I wish teams like Russia, Sweden, USA, Finland or even smaller countries like Czechia, Slovakia or Switzerland had licensed jerseys

    You know it wouldn't be such a big deal if the ea versions of unlicensed jerseys didn't look so bad. The flag instead of actual national team logo is one thing but some of the jerseys look absolutely terrible aside from that and the worst thing is they haven't changed them since NHL15 or something, always the same ugly jerseys

    Our team has had 2 games over the past couple days where we play the entire 3 periods but doesn't count when it ends. Just curious if anyone else has had this problem

    Defensive strategies for computer in 3s?

    Sometimes it seems my teammate and I work really well with the computer, and other times it's like he's on another planet. We usually just try to keep a constant setting so we know what to expect to some degree, but it's still very hit/miss.

    Does anyone have any information on the defensive/offensive strategies for a computer when playing 3 in clubs and what each makes them do? I have tried to figure out what the different settings make the computer do in 3s. So what's the difference between collapsing, staggered in what it makes a computer D-man do in 3s? If I'm just trying to make sure our computer D doesn't let anyone behind him (even if it sacrifices some offensive performance) what would I put it on? Thanks everyone!

    PS4/PS5 EASHL Club Looking For A Goalie!

    Hey everyone, there's not too many active EASHL NHL subreddits so I hope it's okay that I post this here.

    We're a club of adults that play Thursday evenings and sometimes on Friday and the weekend if we're all around! (not this Thursday due to New Year's)

    We usually have 4 or 5 guys around every week and we're looking for someone who plays goalie to join our club for 3s and 6s! We prefer 6s but only play it if we have 4+ people. We're mainly playing for fun but we're div 1 with a record of ~110-50-10.

    World Championship/Olympic Idea

    I came across a post about EA's lack of care to create jerseys/teams that even remotely resemble national teams and it got me thinking. What would you guys think of adding world championships into game modes/being it own thing. Let me explain a few ideas i have then let me know what you would change

    Be A Pro: the world championships usually take place around the same time as the nhl playoffs. My idea is that if your bap player is eliminated from the stanley cup playoffs he is given the option to represent his national team in the world championships if good enough to make the team with stats

    "Congrats, you have been choosen to represent (blank) in this years world championships, do you accept? (Yes, no sim to next season) that simple.

    Would be cool to add a gold medal or two, a tournament MVP to your list of accomplishments

    Franchise mode: again if eliminated you are given the chance to gm a country of your choice

    1. Select players from a large list of players from that country much like franchise expansion selection. Tabs include NHL, prospects (AHL/JR), and Rest of World (euro leagues). Load up your country with all nhl players or add in some young players on 3rd and 4th line (much like the world championships actually do) the choice is yours. Play exhibition games to get a feel, shape your roster than play the tournament. Simple but can add depth to franchise mode if you dont win the stanley cup every year.

    Olympics: in both BAP and franchise mode every four years, if every year world championships is too much this would be an interesting thing that only gets played a few times. Dont even have to call it Olympics, call it the World Winter Games (yes, that is from blades of glory that i watched the other night)

    Let me add that these game modes would be totally optional, turn them off in settings much like salary cap can be on/off. Also option each year if you want to do it just sim to next season, doesnt matter. Just thought it would be interesting to add national representation in this game instead of pushing ones now or threes with snoop dogg or whatever that was.

    obviously would be different for russian teams since KHL players would not be able to play but russia would still be stacked regardless

    Let me know what you guys think

    Does anyone use saucer pass

    I have been casually playing NHL for some time and noticed that I never use the saucer pass. Is this the norm? Is there any value in using saucer passing in this game.

    Community Volunteers to help Game Devs

    Hey Everyone,

    Alot of posts this year have been largely around the bugs that many modes of this years game has. However, if you read into these posts, many people are also frustrated at the lack of acknowledgement from EA that there are actual problems with the game or what they plan on doing with it.

    I am not an EA sympothizer, but we all know that EA limits its budget for NHL. Which then limits how many full time employees it can allocate to this annual game.

    Here is a thought, how do you think this forum (and EA's image) would improve if they had volunteered members speak on behalf of EA instead of trying to allocate a paid headcount for it?

    Give 10ish trusted players/forum members access to dev environment (with NDA's on unreleased content) and a free game each year to act as community contacts to hear and respond to posts on social forums. With the responsibility of isolating tiers of complaints and issues that each social media forum provides and help prioritize what the devs should work on repairing\enhancing.

    If you had the opportuity, would you take part as a volunteer? Would you be less critical towards your peers? Is this a shitpost? Would you switch to a franchise that used volunteers from your community?

    Holding R2 for cross crease pass

    When I try and hold R2 for a cross crease pass it automatically passes and doesn't let me hold it on my stick, does anyone know why its doing this?
